LKC Dompet Dhuafa Held Blood Donation Event
SOUTH TANGERANG – Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma (LKC, The Free Health Care) together with Palang Merang Indonesia (PMI, Indonesian Red Cross) held a blood donation event in Mega Mall Ciputat Shop-house on Wednesday (2/8).
The LKC secretary, Reita Annur said, a similar event will be conducted regularly every three months. “In the beginning we had one during the 10th anniversary, but with the high interest of the society, then we organized another one,” said Reita.
Reita explained at least 117 people were registered to donate their blood, but due to a number of factors, only 81 were allowed to proceed. “We provide two units of PMI cars with the capacity of 4 beds in each car,” she explained.
LKC Dompet Dhuafa extended its gratitude to the society who have donated their blood for free. Reita hoped that they would come again in the future event.
“Every drop of donated blood is meaningful and useful for the safety of our relatives. As a representative of this organization, I would like to extend my biggest gratitude,” she ended.
