Makmal Education Profile
An adequate structure and infrastructure is one of the fundamental educational factors. Among the essential structures, is a school building itself. More specific, a classroom. Based on the research by Educational Department of Republic Indonesia, 24,96% of 937.500 Primary School in Indonesia is highly impairment, while 7,42% of 206.000 Secondary School is in the same condition.
The tragic story of Indonesian education did not stop there, the condition was worsen with the quality of educator which was below the standard. Based on a report from Educational Information and Data Centre of Research and Development Department of Republic of Indonesia in 2004, 49,3% of Primary Educator was incompetent while similar case happened to 35,9% of Secondary Educator.
Having a good school building but bad quality of educator is another phenomenon.
Based on those obstacles, it is necessary to have a full support from society to increase the quality of educational structure and infra-structure, especially the quality of educator.
LPI has been actively assisting the society to obtain good quality of education. Among others are presenting a workshop and training for educators as well as a collaborative program for potential schools.
About Makmal Education
Makmal Education is an educational laboratory in responding the needs of schools and the improvement of educator’s quality through trainings, school mentoring program, and Indonesian Teacher Friend program. Educator training has a goal to improve their quality which will have impacts to student’s quality and learning process in a class. It will enhance their creativity, social awareness and academic evaluation.
In order to obtain a certain quality as stated above, it needs a mechanism to assist educators for applying their maximum capabilities. Therefore Makmal Education is also provided mentoring program for educators. This program is performed through a workshop to train their skills. It also gives a study lesson to create a learning community among the educators.

• To improve and reinforce the quality of educators through trainings
• To develop school’s management through workshops and trainings
• To perform mentoring program for potential schools and pilot projects
• To increase the participation and contribution of society to support the improvement of educational quality program
