A 1000-Dinar Verse and Its Virtues According to Islam

The verse of 1000 dinars is an essential short prayer reading, but unfortunately, only a few people know about the verse. However, the recitation of this verse is found in the Quran, has excellent benefits, and is suitable for our lives, primarily if we practice it in everyday life.

Knowing the Verse of 1000 Dinars

We can do many things to fill the day fruitfully. For example, we are gaining knowledge and practising prayers. We can practice the verse of 1000 dinars; it has many benefits and goodness. What are the virtues of this verse? What is the form of practice in everyday life? So that friends and family get a lot of good in life.

The Verse of 1000 Dinars is a very famous verse from the Quran. This verse is found in Sura al-Thalaq, verses 2-3. We can memorise it quickly if they mean it because the pronunciation is shorter. Here is the reading of verse 1000 dinars:

وَمَنْ يَّتَّقِ اللّٰهَ يَجْعَلْ لَّهٗ مَخْرَجًا ۙ وَّيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُۗ وَمَنْ يَّتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّٰهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهٗ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَالِغُ اَمْرِهٖۗ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللّٰهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرًا

“wa may yattaqillāha yaj’al lahụ makhrajā. wa yarzuq-hu min ḥaiṡu lā yaḥtasib, wa may yatawakkal ‘alallāhi fa huwa ḥasbuh, innallāha bāligu amrih, qad ja’alallāhu likulli syai`ing qadrā.”

Meaning: Whoever fears Allah will make for him a way out and give him sustenance from an unexpected direction. And whoever relies on Allah will surely provide for him. Indeed, God carries out the business He (will) to do. Indeed, God has made provision for everything.

The Origin of History Appears Prayer Verse

When traced far back, this verse has a very famous background story—sourced initially from Isa Prophet Khidir Alaihis Salam, who came into the dream of a merchant. In the dream, Prophet Khidir taught that merchants give alms as much as one thousand dinars. After experiencing the same dream repeatedly, the merchant finally carries out the mandate given through the dream.

After practising the teachings of Prophet Khidir, the merchant met Prophet Khidir again in his dream. Prophet Khidir taught him to practice one of the verses found in the Qur’an, namely Surah At-Thalaq, verses 1-2. The merchant practised and followed the teachings of Prophet Khidir.

One day, when merchants and traders were at sea, there was a disaster in the form of a typhoon that hit the boat. All passengers died, and only one trader merchant was safely stranded on the shore. Not only did he survive, his luggage was not damaged at all. He continued to live in the new land by trading and practising the 1000 dinars’ prayer teaching. Finally, one day, he was appointed king of the place where he lived.

The Virtues of 1000 Dinar Prayer Readings

The prayer reading verse 1000 dinars has the virtue of goodness and benefit for the person who reads it. The virtues of this prayer include:

  1.       Get great reward: By reciting the prayer verse 1000 dinars, we will get a great reward from Allah Almighty because this verse is one of the very noble sentences in the Quran.
  2.       Forgiveness of sins: The 1000-dinar verse prayer can also help us to obtain forgiveness from sins. Reading this verse, we can cleanse ourselves from sins and get blessings from Allah Almighty.
  3.       Peace of mind: Practicing the verse of a thousand dinars can make us feel the presence of Allah Almighty, who always accompanies and guides us in life. So we can gain peace of mind.
  4.       Abundant sustenance: Allah Almighty promises to provide abundant sustenance for His servants who confidently read the verse of a thousand dinars.
  5.       Protection from evil: The verse 1000 dinars can also protect from evil and the interference of jinn and demons. We will feel safe and protected from all kinds of threats.

How to Practice Prayer Readings

How to practice the 1000 Dinar Verse in everyday life is relatively easy. There are several times that you can choose to practice it. The efficacious (mustajab) time to practice or recite verses is every day after Fajr prayer or Maghrib prayer. You can also recite this verse after Isha prayers or before bed to feel calm and peaceful. Before going to work can also be the right time to read the prayer, in the hope that hopefully Allah SWT. It gives us smoothness and ease of working.

 The third of the night is also a very efficacious (mustajab) time to say prayers so that Allah Almighty grants them. Friends can recite a thousand dinars’ verses after performing hajat or tahajud prayers. If it is difficult to practice every day, you can try to practice regularly for three consecutive days, namely on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Before reciting the 1000-dinar prayer, it is recommended to first begin by reciting Surat Al-Qadr six times.

Number of Times to Read Prayers

There are many versions of how often we should read the verse of 1000 dinars. Some suggest reading as many as 1000 times, some only as many as 114 times. If this amount is considered too burdensome, reading the verse of 1000 dinars 33 times a day or at least once a day is enough. No matter how often we recite the 1000-dinar prayer, the most important thing is our sincerity.

Reading the prayer of 1000 dinars regularly every day will provide great benefits for our lives. We will feel peace and tranquility in our hearts and protection from all kinds of threats. We will also get great rewards from Allah Almighty and blessings in life.
