JAKARTA — “Being able to perform qurbani every year is my family’s dream. However, conditions have not made it possible to be able to sacrifice. I never expected and couldn’t believe that I would be one of the participants at Dompet Dhuafa’s Meet & Meat Event Gathering who received a door prize of a qurbani goat,” said Laily Desy, a Dompet Dhuafa blogger who won the door prize of a goat.
Laily Desy (36) never imagined that she could perform qurbani in Eid al-Adha 1445 AH/2024 AD. She is a blogger who is part of Dompet Dhuafa’s kindness connector program. Laily is a hero of kindness who has been aggressively sharing the values of Dompet Dhuafa’s kindness through her beautiful writings, both on blogs and social media.
That afternoon, Thursday (6/5/2024), at Sarwono House, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, the sun’s rays hit the trunks of the trees, the breeze also blew the leaves. This phenomenon seemed to support the joy of “Meet & Meat: Influencer & Blogger Gathering”. Yes, nature also gave happy news to Laily.
A stay-at-home mom with three children, Laily has been a blogger and freelancer since 2018. The passion for writing that began as a child with her diary now continues on social media and digital platforms.
“Until finally I got the opportunity to join the goodness with Dompet Dhuafa, because this is where I can learn more about how I can be a more useful person for many people with Dompet Dhuafa’s various care programs for the people of Indonesia and the world through my social media,” said Laily.
Laily is active in several Dompet Dhuafa activities and has attended several Dompet Dhuafa events in person. Although she has not been able to attend all events, she is very enthusiastic about Dompet Dhuafa’s various awareness programmes that are devoted to empowering people.
‘Just by broadcasting Dompet Dhuafa’s good values through my social media has turned out to be very useful, my friends know more about what Dompet Dhuafa is,’ she added.
Who would have thought that every word and sentence she wrote on www.gulalilaily.com would lead her to a long-held dream that she has been yearning for every year. Through MEET & MEAT: GATHERING INFLUENCERS & BLOGGERS, Dompet Dhuafa collaborates with heroes of kindness such as influencers, KOLs, bloggers, and communities who actively spread positive values through their content, Dompet Dhuafa invites them to spread the blessings of Eid al-Adha and good information through the Kurban 3 Pasti campaign. Hopefully, this campaign will increase the number of beneficiaries of Dompet Dhuafa’s Qurbani Animal Distribution Programme this year.
This event took place with a series of activities that were full of meaning and good energy. It started with a knitting workshop with Emji Handcraft. The KOLs began knitting into the shape of a cow’s head, followed by a Live Cooking session with Chef Fatmah Bahalwan to create inspiration for dishes that can be processed on the day of Sacrifice.
This year, THK Dompet Dhuafa is back with a guarantee of 3 sure things. This was explained by Suci N Qadarsih as General Manager of Marketing Dompet Dhuafa a who was also present at this activity.
‘Dompet Dhuafa has a THK 3 Pasti programme, namely Pasti Jantan, Pasti Lolos Quality Control and Pasti Distribution to Remote Areas of the Country. Dompet Dhuafa for 30 years in managing Tebar Kurban Animals to remote areas of the country, we want kaka-kaka to be the connector of messages and syiar-syiar of the mandate given by donors to Dompet Dhuafa,’ said Suci.

Furthermore, Bobby P. Manullang as Chairman of THK 2024 in a sharing session explained more about the Tebar Hewan Kurban Programme to influencers and media partners who attended. That in THK Dompet Dhuafa is an effort to overcome the distribution of meat to remote areas.
‘Today Dompet Dhuafa through Influencers, KOLs, Communities, and Bloggers also wants to convey to the public that THK is not just looking for sacrificial donors to be collected by Dompet Dhuafa, but we want to be a bridge, for those who need animal protein. Because today Indonesia still has pockets of people whose meat consumption index is still below 1 KG per year, so we see that THK must be a momentum towards equal distribution in this case sacrificial animal meat to those who have almost never enjoyed the joy of meat, it must be a momentum that becomes the joy of everyone.
In addition to distribution across the country, Dompet Dhuafa is also experienced in overseas distribution, including to Somalia, Myanmar, and Palestine. In Palestine, the canned qurbani will be delivered to three points: West Bank, Al Quds, and Al-Aqsa Mosque. This is important because Palestine is still plagued by genocide.
‘I’ve never done qurbani before, but I’m really happy to be able to do it. Because this qurbani will be distributed to all corners of the country, of course I am proud, touched and very happy, because our brothers and sisters in remote areas can taste the delicious qurbani meat. Hopefully, next year we can perform qurbani as well,’ concluded Laily.
This year, the meat distribution target will cover 29 THK animal slaughtering points, with distribution in each region reaching 4-5 points. With a target of 30,000 sacrificial animals, Dompet Dhuafa hopes to reach nearly two million beneficiaries of the sacrificial meat that will be slaughtered in 2024.
Also sharing his story on the occasion was Aiman Ricky, who followed the Quality Control process at DD Farm Solok Sirukam, West Sumatra.
‘Soon THK will take place where we need the help of all our friends, let’s together participate in spreading kindness, by being able to post, what if we spread kindness, InsyaAllah it will be a positive thing, good things become pahaka for all of us, Hopefully this THK will run smoothly, Insha Allah, the more we sacrifice, the more we prosper, because there are so many who have never eaten meat, for this reason, I invite all my friends, let’s help our neighbours, let’s increase our reward by sacrificing, of course at Dompet Dhuafa,’ said Aiman Ricky.
