RIAU — Dompet Dhuafa established a strategic consolidation with LAZ Energi Kebaikan on Thursday (12/12/2024) at the LAZ Energi Kebaikan Office, Jl Paus No 8B, Limbungan Baru, Rumbai Pesisir District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. This meeting marks a concrete next step to strengthen synergy in the management and distribution of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (Ziswaf) funds, as well as other social funds.
Energi Kebaikan, previously known as LAZnas PHR, is a philanthropic institution that focuses its activities on five main program families, namely Riau Sejahtera, Riau Sehat, Riau Berdaya, Riau Beriman, and Riau Cemerlang. In addition, excellent program focuses such as the Good Water Alms, Clean Water Project, and Clean Energy Project are part of their contribution to community development.
As Dompet Dhuafa’s Zakat Management Partner (MPZ), Energi Kebaikan continues to improve the quality of its programs and services. The Chairman of the Energi Kebaikan Management, Kukuh Kertasafari, revealed the great benefits of this partnership. According to him, being Dompet Dhuafa’s MPZ allows Energi Kebaikan to create programs that are directed, effective, and most importantly have a positive impact on society.
“Alhamdulillah, our programs have become more focused and impactful. We can also discuss to create excellent programs in Riau,” he said.

One of the initiatives that is highly appreciated by Energi Kebaikan by becoming MPZ Dompet Dhuafa is the Capacity Building-Disaster Response Training (CB-PTB) program. On the same day, after consolidation, Energi Kebaikan administrators and volunteers attended the Sumatra Regional CB-PTB which was held on December 12-14, 2024 at Rindu Sempadan, Muara Fajar, Pekanbaru. This program helps them increase the capacity of amil and program implementers to be more professional and trustworthy, and always responsive in every condition.
“We gained a lot of insight on how to manage a good program, so that we can create derivative activities that inspire the community,” added Kukuh.
Dompet Dhuafa’s General Manager of Network Development, Bobby P Manullang, emphasized Dompet Dhuafa’s commitment to share knowledge and experience with all its partners. He also emphasized that Dompet Dhuafa with all humility will be willing to transfer all the knowledge and experience it has, especially for MPZs. Dompet Dhuafa is very open to imitation in all aspects. In fact, if a program or method is duplicated exactly, then Dompet Dhuafa will not object, it will be happy.
“We are very open to sharing governance, collection methods, and program innovations. We keep nothing, in fact we are happy if someone imitates and duplicates our way of working, “Bobby explained.

Bobby also expressed his appreciation to Energi Kebaikan for continuing to believe as a partner of Dompet Dhuafa. The consolidation between Dompet Dhuafa and Energi Kebaikan for the umpteenth time will further strengthen the efforts of both in spreading the widest possible benefits. Of course, in the future, innovative programs that have a massive impact will be realized.
As a symbol of close cooperation, at this meeting, Dompet Dhuafa and Energi Kebaikan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which was carried out by Bobby P. Manullang and Kukuh Kertasafari. The signing was witnessed by Agus Saepul Dahlan as the Board of Trustees of Energi Kebaikan, and Hendi Mardika, Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Riau.
Through this consolidation, Energi Kebaikan is expected to play an increasing role as a driving force for sustainable social change. The focus on increasing fundraising and management professionalism is expected to reach more mustahik, create economic independence, and support the achievement of sustainable development goals.
With the support of technology and transparent management, Energi Kebaikan is expected to be a pioneer in the digitalization of zakat management in Indonesia. Collaboration with local and international partners is also sought to expand positive impacts, both through social programs, economic empowerment, and policy advocacy that supports sustainability.
