JAKARTA – During a mass demonstration in Jakarta on Saturday evening (August 30, 2025), the Free Health Service (LKC) as a health unit of Dompet Dhuafa, together with the Disaster Management Center (DMC) as a humanitarian unit of Dompet Dhuafa, deployed medical teams and vehicles to help the affected community.
Two ambulances and 18 rapid response team personnel and medical staff were on standby at the location. Their presence focused on providing emergency medical treatment and evacuating victims who needed help.
“Our principle is humanity. We will serve anyone who needs help, especially in medical emergencies,” said one of the Dompet Dhuafa medical teams during the action.
The LKC and DMC Dompet Dhuafa teams provided assistance not only in the form of medical treatment, such as wound care, oxygen administration, and referrals to the nearest hospital, but also logistical support. Food and drinks were distributed to residents and exhausted participants.

In Jakarta, Dompet Dhuafa’s Free Health Services (LKC) ensure that every medical task carried out is always coordinated with the DKI Regional Health Crisis Center (PK3D). This is done so that all movements of the team in the field are confirmed and monitored by the official medical action coordinator. This is because, in handling emergency medical situations in this action, especially ambulance operations, the PK3D acts as the coordination command center.

Not only in Jakarta, Dompet Dhuafa also carried out similar humanitarian actions at a number of demonstration sites in other cities, such as Makassar, Yogyakarta, Purwokerto, Medan, Bandung, and Surabaya. Medical teams and volunteers were on standby to ensure that humanitarian services could reach more people in need.
With the full support of experienced medical teams, this service is expected to minimize the risk of medical emergencies and provide a sense of security for the community amid the tense situation. (Dompet Dhuafa)
