GAZA, PALESTINE — The aggression and genocide that lasted for more than 420 days has devastated Gaza, Palestine. Not only killing more than 44,000 people, the aggression also injured almost 105,000 innocent people, and destroyed many public facilities such as hospitals, schools, office buildings, and clean water facilities in Gaza.
Khan Younis, the largest city in southern Gaza, has been suffering from a clean water crisis since the aggression began after Israel destroyed more than 70 percent of the city’s wells. The water crisis worsened because the residents’ access to clean water from outside was cut off due to fuel shortages.
Israel’s halting of fuel supplies has disrupted essential services in Gaza, including the operation of the remaining water wells and desalination plants. As a result, 1.2 million residents and refugees in Khan Younis are unable to obtain clean and potable water.
