EAST JAVA — Thanks to the support and trust of donors, Dompet Dhuafa is able to roll out many benefit programs for the poor. Both service and empowerment. In the eastern part of Java, Dompet Dhuafa East Java Branch has expanded the benefits through the Dompet Dhuafa program. Starting from Ngawi to Banyuwangi. This is solely in an effort to help people in need and alleviate them from poverty.

Periodically and regularly, Dompet Dhuafa East Java programs continue to receive review and evaluation from various parties, both internal and external. Dompet Dhuafa East Java is very open to anyone to participate in observing and providing input on improving each program, so that the benefits will be wider and more targeted.

In the second week of Shawwal 1445 H, precisely since Sunday (21/4/2024), the Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation (YDDR), Ahmad Juwaini, visited several Dompet Dhuafa programs in East Java. This visit targeted the Malang area with several programs, namely the Patient Shelter House and the Mandaya BMP Area. Then to Hasyim Asy’ari Dompet Dhuafa Hospital in Jombang, Free Health Services (LKC) Jatim and Learning House in Madiun, Lawu Singolangu Milk Village in Magetan, and DD Farm in Madiun.

According to Ahmad Juwaini, Dompet Dhuafa East Java programs must be able to continue to escalate or increase, both in terms of quality and quantity. Because, in the market, especially in economic empowerment programs, it has very good values. So it is very feasible to be upgraded to a higher scale.

“The variety of Dompet Dhuafa East Java programs is very feasible to be upgraded to a higher scale. The portfolio is good, there are already programs that are advanced and ready to be escalated. Especially in economic empowerment programs, it has very good market values, “said Ahmad Juwaini.

Ibu Atik Muda, one of the beneficiaries of the “Della Muda” MSME empowerment program in Madiredo, Pujon District, Malang, expressed her gratitude to Dompet Dhuafa. To Ahmad, Mrs. Atik admitted that Dompet Dhuafa was very instrumental in the growth and strengthening of her business and the businesses of her colleagues.

Another empowerment program is animal husbandry, namely DD Farm. Dompet Dhuafa East Java Branch Manager, Risky Adib said, currently Dompet Dhuafa has farms spread across Madiun, Mojokerto, Situbondo, Tulungagung, Jember, Gresik, Kediri, Tuban, and Bojonegoro. Part of it is a collaboration program with Briliant Farm which focuses on the breeding process. Meanwhile, DD Farm focuses on fattening which is prepared for the Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) program.

“Currently, Dompet Dhuafa East Java has prepared a stock of 2,047 sacrificial animals. The distribution area is almost evenly distributed to several points in districts / cities in East Java. There are at least 25 areas planned for distribution locations, “explained Risky.

In the field of health services, Dompet Dhuafa East Java Patient Shelters are in two areas. Namely in Malang and Surabaya. This Halfway House has a capacity of 26 rooms. Each room is for one patient and one companion. So, the Halfway House is able to serve as many as 52 mustahik.

“The rooms are always full. Every day, they (each patient and companion) get three meals. In addition, there are also shuttle facilities by ambulance, room occupancy and also spiritual guidance for patients. Everything is free,” said Risky. (Dompet Dhuafa)
