CIANJUR, WEST JAVA — In addition to knowing the quality of sacrificial animals (hewan kurban) presented by Dompet Dhuafa, the Care Visit activity to the Cianjur Livestock Center was also carried out to inform that the Dompet Dhuafa economic empowerment program has a positive impact on the community. Who would have thought Kampung Ternak has directly involved 42 beneficiaries, namely farmers, and approximately 500 indirect beneficiaries, namely people who get sacrificial meat through the Program Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) of Dompet Dhuafa spread across Cianjur.
Also present in this activity, Andriansyah as the Head of the West Java Dompet Dhuafa Branch. He said that Kampung Ternak is an assistance program to the community in sheep farming sourced from zakat funds. Using the revolving fund method, Dompet Dhuafa assists livestock groups with the criteria of farm workers or small farmers in poor asnaf.

Meanwhile, in Kp. Pasir Sireum itself, animal husbandry culture has existed for a long time and is managed traditionally. “The income of farmers increases, members get competency upgrades, members get spiritual knowledge and regular studies, and open other business opportunities that support Kampung Ternak. We not only prepare cages, but we prepare skill and competency development. From the cage, it has provided benefits to the surrounding community. Even more concretely, some houses were built by joint ventures of the beneficiaries, so they contributed to help make the house of Mang Obay (one of the beneficiaries).
