CILACAP, CENTRAL JAVA — In an orderly and enthusiastic manner, 450 prisoners filled the mosque at Class II A Kembang Kuning Correctional Facility, Nusa Kambangan, Cilacap. The atmosphere was full of enthusiasm among the prisoners who wore white clothes on Wednesday (31/7/2024) morning.
Yes, the prisoners will attend the Tabligh Akbar organized by the Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Institute (LPM). The event was even more lively with the performance of marawis from the prisoners, adding to the lively atmosphere that day. This activity is an activity that has been prepared in the commemoration of the month of Muharram, filled by Ustadz Ray Syahreza, former vocalist of Nineball Band, who provides inspirational tausiyah for the participants.
Winarso as Head of Class II A Kembang Kuning Correctional Facility, Nusa Kambangan, hopes that this activity can increase worship and all participants can welcome a better life.
“Hopefully this grand tabligh can improve our worship and reflect on the glory of the month of Muharram. Let’s live a better life after entering the Islamic New Year,” he concluded.

Juperta Panji Utama, Deputy Director 1 of Dompet Dhuafa’s Social, Humanitarian, Da’wah and Cultural Programs, emphasized in his remarks that this event was a concrete step in meeting the spiritual needs of prisoners.
“This is an assembly of knowledge that can fulfill human needs, especially related to the brain and heart. This tabligh akbar hopes to be useful for prisoners to become better individuals,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Ustaz Ray Syahreza, the former vocalist of the Nineball Band, shared his first experience filling an event at Nusa Kambangan Island Prison. At first, a visit to a correctional institution was considered a terrifying experience. However, after being inside and interacting with prisoners, it can change Ustaz Ray Syahreza’s perspective.
“At first I thought that visiting a prison was a terrible thing. But it turns out that being inside with the prisoners is extraordinary, there is an atmosphere of kinship, piety, religion, religion, close and familiar. Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful. Events like this are really important, even those of us who are free still need to remind and commemorate each other. Moreover, those prisoners who have to be in prison need an injection of enthusiasm and spirituality for their strength in running their lives,” he said.
Moreover, prisoners in correctional institutions need support to remind each other and provide an injection of enthusiasm to live their lives better.
