Regarding how many days of Eid al-Adha the chanting should last, no Qur’anic postulate mentions the command to chant Eid al-Adha for how long. However, scholars of tafsir relate Surah Al-Hajj verse 28, namely “… and call upon the name of God on the appointed few days…” In addition to the command to mention the name of Allah Almighty when slaughtering sacrificial animals, it can also be interpreted as an appeal to chant repeated recitation of Allah is the greatest (takbir), repeated recitation of There is no God but Allah (tahlil), and repeated recitation of gratitude and praise to Allah (tahmid). “Appointed day” means Eid al-Adha and Tasyrik (10, 11, 12, 13 Dhū al-Ḥijjah).

Then multiply by you these days to read no God but Allah (tahlil), Allah is the greatest (takbir), and gratitude and praise to Allah (tahmid).”
Imam Bukhari said, “Ibn Umar and Abu Hurayrah went out to the market in these dozen days (of the month of Dhū al-Ḥijjah), so both of them takbir and the people in the market also Takbir with them.”
According to Imam Ahmad, Abu Saur, and Sufyan Saury, Takbir Eid al-Adha is recited from Fajr time on the day of Arafat (9 Dhū al-Ḥijjah ) until the time of Asr prayer on the last Tasyrik day (13 Dhū al-Ḥijjah).
Based on the above postulates, we can conclude that the takbiran of Eid al-Adha, how many days it is chanted, is for five days, starting from dawn on the 9th of Dhū al-Ḥijjah to the time of Asr on 13 Dhū al-Ḥijjah.

Procedures and Ethics
