In Early 2023, LPM Establishes a Partnership Program with Cilegon Prison

BANTEN – Dompet Dhuafa through the Community Service Institution organ unit or  Lembaga Pelayan Masyarakat (LPM) has again built cooperation and partnership with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Prison (Lapas Kemenkumham). This time, LPM will trigger a disciplinary program with the Cilegon Class IIA Prison (Lapas Kelas IIA Cilegon), Banten.

Noor Awaluddin Asjhar, S.Sos, M.Kesos as Head of LPM Dompet Dhuafa signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Enjat Lukmanul Hakim, Bc. IP, S.H as Head of Prison Class IIA Cilegon, Banten on Wednesday (11/01/2023).

In his statement, Awaluddin explained that the scope of cooperation established in personality development is directed at spiritual-based spiritual and mental development under the Bina Santri Lapas (BSL) program. Through this program, he hopes to improve the personality quality of correctional residents.

“Through the Bina Santri Lapas (BSL) program, it is hoped that it can improve the personality quality of correctional assisted residents,” he said.

In addition to providing guidance, activities and training, as well as religious strengthening, BSL provides better life motivation for returning to society.

The BSL program with Cilegon Class IIA Prison is Dompet Dhuafa‘s 10th partnership with prisons in Jakarta, West Java and Banten.

“It’s great that we could attend and establish silaturahim. This is our 10th partnership with prisons in Jakarta, West Java and Banten. Hopefully it will be a good start and opportunity, bringing benefits to all of us,” awaluddin continued.

Enjat Lukmanul Hakim delivered a good speech on the cooperation of the BSL program.

Meanwhile, in his speech, the Head of Prison Class IIA Cilegon said that the disciplinary function of fostering assisted residents could not be separated from the community’s active role, both from government and private agencies. According to him, this will be a very appropriate moment to continue learning to improve the quality of personality and independence for correctional residents and coaches.

“For this reason, we would like to thank Dompet Dhuafa for caring about running a coaching program in prison. It’s a very appropriate moment for us to continue to learn to improve the quality of our personality and independence. Hopefully, what is conveyed can be optimized and maximized in absorbing and accepting all the learning provided,” he explained.
