BOGOR, WEST JAVA – The registration for the 13th batch of the BAKTI NUSA Scholarship has officially been opened. Prospective recipients can begin registering from October 2, 2023. The national selection for this scholarship is scheduled to take place from October 2 to October 16, 2023.
The Nusantara Activist Scholarship (BAKTI NUSA) is designed to facilitate students in developing holistic leadership skills through relevant learning and developmental processes aligned with change. BAKTI NUSA is dedicated to cultivating leaders with integrity, intellect, a transformative mindset, and a commitment to community service through innovative empowerment and synergistic collaboration within the national leadership network.
It is important to note that the BAKTI NUSA Scholarship is exclusively awarded to fourth-year students with a demonstrated track record as student activists. This track record should clearly indicate the candidates’ leadership potential, which BAKTI NUSA aims to further nurture.
On Monday (2/10/2023), the 13th batch scholarship selection was officially opened, targeting strategic human resources among student activists from 15 leading universities in Indonesia. These campuses include the University of North Sumatra (Medan), Andalas University (Padang), Sriwijaya University (Palembang), the University of Indonesia (Depok), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Padjadjaran University (Bandung), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gadjah Mada University (Yogyakarta), Sebelas Maret University (Solo), Brawijaya University (Malang), Airlangga University (Surabaya), Surabaya Institute of Technology (ITS), Diponegoro University (Semarang), Hasanuddin University (Makassar), and Udayana University (Bali).
Muhamad Saepudin, Manager of the Indonesian Leadership School, stated, ‘In this 13th National BAKTI NUSA Selection, our goal is to identify young, innovative, and creative reformers and empowerers with fresh ideas, great visions, and tangible contributions to the community
“The National BAKTI NUSA 13 Selection is open from October 2 to October 16, 2023,” he added.

Benefits of the BAKTI NUSA Scholarship
The benefits for the 13th batch of BAKTI NUSA benefit recipients include:
- Activity fund support of Rp800,000/month for six months;
- Funding support for Leadership Project up to Rp6,000,000 for one year;
- Leadership cultivation program worth approximately +/- Rp24,000,000, including the Activist Coaching Program, Official Test (TOEFL & IELTS), Team Building, Leadership Project Incubation, Executive Mentoring, and Post-Campus Career Guidance;
- National and international networks;
- Opportunity to pitch with professional mentors;
- Leadership development facilities for one year;
- National leadership training;
- Leadership report and certificate;
- Leadership appreciation and co-publishing of a book.
Additionally, Muhamad Saepudin detailed the eligibility criteria and conditions for prospective BAKTI NUSA Scholarship applicants.

“Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00, be proficient in an international language, have never received a similar scholarship (leadership scholarship), be an active member of campus/community organizations, have an idea/concept for a social project that benefits the community or one that is already operational, obtain recommendations from academic or non-academic figures, and come from a BAKTI NUSA program campus,” he clarified.
