Serving Eid Ketupat to Medical Staff and Patient Families

Ketupat Lebaran untuk petugas medis dan keluarga pasien

JAKARTA — Ramadan 1445 H has ended. There is no more beautiful meeting than meeting the month of Ramadan. Its presence makes people compete to accumulate merit, do good, actively worship, and embrace all in care.

However, meetings will always go hand in hand with separation. Sadness is also present when the farewell to Ramadan arrives. Ramadan brings every inch of its presence closer, bringing hearts closer and strengthening bonds between people.

However, the end of Ramadan does not mark the end of kindness. On the contrary, the Eid celebration is not only an opportunity to gather with family. Rather, the opportunity to continue the spirit of Ramadan in living everyday life with kindness is also present.

LPM Dompet Dhuafa held another Ketupat Lebaran event on Eid al-Fitr 1445 H, Wednesday (10/4/2024), in collaboration with 11 hospitals in the Jabodetabek area.

Eid is very synonymous with moments of togetherness, gathering with relatives, knitting friendship with neighbors, and the tradition of going home to hometowns. Not only that, enjoying typical Hari Raya dishes is also a tradition that is still maintained to this day.

In the midst of the joy of Hari Raya, there are some people who have to celebrate it with struggle. They are janitors, workers in the transportation sector, security officers, and medical personnel who are glued to their noble duties behind the walls of the hospital. For health workers, Lebaran requires them to be at the forefront. There are also others who are struggling with pain. Although separated by limitations and responsibilities, they remain an integral part of this joy, reinforcing the meaning of sacrifice in a holy moment.
