JAKARTA – Dompet Dhuafa attended the biggest kindness festival in Indonesia, Indonesia Giving Festival (IGF) Zakat Expo 2022, initiated by the big house of the Indonesian zakat movement, Forum Zakat (FOZ). IGF Zakat Expo 2022 will take two days on Friday & Saturday (23-24/12) at Tennis Indoor Stadium, Gelora Karno (GBK) Senayan, Jakarta.
This kindness festival is a form of effort to strengthen the range of exposure to the impact of giving or almsgiving activities (giving), especially giving in the form of zakat. As the host, the Forum Zakat (FOZ) presents exhibitions from various Zakat Management Organizations or Organisasi Pengelolaan Zakat (OPZ), conferences, networking sessions, social empowerment competitions, and Zakat Awards 2022. A total of 199 OPZs from all over Indonesia showed off in this event by showcasing excellent programs that have been proven to benefit the duafa, through existing booths.

As one of the pioneers of OPZ in Indonesia, Dompet Dhuafa also enlivened the IGF Zakat Expo 2022. Dompet Dhuafa’s involvement in this national event is to strengthen the relationship with all OPZs who are united in FOZ so that they continue to be compact and consistently have a good impact on people in need. In addition, it is also because this event has the same spirit as the Indonesia Humanitarian Summit (I-HitS), a year-end event carried out by Dompet Dhuafa to report its performance over the past year in the form of Public Expose and Annual Report.
Through I-HitS, Dompet Dhuafa wants to invite, involve, and build the world of humanity together with other components of the nation and show that this institution, which has been established since 1993, continues to uphold three principles in managing people’s funds, namely transparent, accountable, and credible (open, responsible, and trustworthy). I-HitS Dompet Dhuafa was held again this year, but with a different packaging, namely collaborating with FOZ in the Indonesia Giving Fest (IGF) Zakat Expo 2022 with the hope of further strengthening the nuances of togetherness among zakat activists.

At IGF Zakat Expo 2022, Dompet Dhuafa was not only present through the exhibition booths, but also presented on the main stage with a Public Expose Monologue with the theme Islamic Philanthropy: Sustainable Development Goals presented by the Director of Communication and Strategic Alliance of Dompet Dhuafa, Bambang Suherman. Then, the Annual Report on Dompet Dhuafa’s Performance 2022 which was presented by the Director of Bussines Operation Support (BOS) of Dompet Dhuafa, Prima Hadi Putra with a Keynote Speech delivered by the Chairman of Dompet Dhuafa Management, Rahmad Riyadi and Charity Concert involving several musicians.
On the same occasion, Dompet Dhuafa also received the Zakat Awards 2022 in the category of National Best Economic Program for the economic empowerment program of Desa Tani: Empowered in One’s Own Land.

Meanwhile, in the exhibition booth, Dompet Dhuafa presents various excellent services and programs from Dompet Dhuafa’s organs. This excellent program is presented in 7 booths spread across IGF Zakat Expo 2022. The seven booths include the Disaster Management Center (DMC), the Institute for Insasi Development (LPI), Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma (LKC), Community Service Institutions (LPM), STIM Budi Bakti Dompet Dhuafa, Farmer Village and MSME Empowerment, and the Institute of Independence (IK) Dompet Dhuafa.
