GAZA, PALESTINE — Sad news has surfaced in the news again. This time, again, the news came from Palestine. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that dozens of Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. The attack also killed a 5-year-old girl and a 23-year-old woman. The attack also injured 75 local residents, as reported on CNN (6/8/2022).
One of the Dompet Dhuafa volunteers at the site closest to the airstrike said the situation was very tense. “All cities in Gaza were attacked. But the cities on the border are more dangerous because any movement is attacked by Israel,” explained Dr. Mohammed Shabbat.

“Meanwhile, in the central part of Gaza City, even though there were attacks, people were able to move around as usual because there are many foreign nationals working there. But the situation is very dangerous because there is no specific target from the attackers,” he continued.
The first attack hit Gaza City approximately 15 kilometers from the hospital where Dr. Mohammed Shabbat was located. The second attack was in the Al-Faluja area, 2 to 3 kilometers from the hospital. Another attack was on the Beit Hanoun city border, 7 to 8 kilometers away. The last attack was in Khan Younis, West Gaza.

“In the name of humanity, we condemn all forms of oppression and violence against all people in the world. Dompet Dhuafa has deployed an ambulance unit to assist with evacuation and remote assistance. Now, the ambulance assistance is the result of donations from the Indonesian people that are channeled through Dompet Dhuafa,” explained Bambang Suherman, Director of Communications and Strategic Alliances at Dompet Dhuafa.
Bambang added that there are two ambulances dedicated to East Gaza and one ambulance for Gaza City and the North Gaza Strip. The focus is on the evacuation of the dead and remote assistance. Meanwhile, we are maximizing this assistance, while reviewing and preparing other assistance for the humanitarian conflict response.
Bambang also invited the people of Indonesia to continue to pray for their brothers and sisters in Palestine. If anyone has extra money, they can donate. Channel your kindness to Palestine through:
