TANGERANG — From August 11-21, 2022 at the Indonesia Convention Center (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, the largest international automotive exhibition, the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2022, will be held again. As Gaikindo’s Charity Partner, Dompet Dhuafa is once again participating in this prestigious event. In fact, since 2018, Dompet Dhuafa and Gaikindo have been actively collaborating to do good deeds.
As in previous years, Dompet Dhuafa and Gaikindo held an Inspiring Talk event on Sunday (14/8/2022). This time, Dompet Dhuafa carried the theme “Achieving a Brilliant Future in the Automotive Industry”. The Inspiring Talk event was broadcast online via the Dompet Dhuafa TV YouTube channel and also on the @dompetdhuafaorg and @camper_van_indonesia Instagram accounts, featuring DD Super Volunteer Aliyah Sayuti to share stories and inspiration, as well as Dompet Dhuafa Retail Fundraising Manager Yudha Andilla and Camper Van Indonesia Community Chairman Muhamad Slamet.
In this interesting conversation, Aliyah discussed how to build personal branding so that it can be more beneficial. As an influencer, Aliyah has done a lot of good deeds with Dompet Dhuafa, even since 2017. According to her, the key to social media is how the content that is created is able to inspire others. Social media is currently a very effective tool as a platform for building personal branding.
“The key to social media is how the content we create inspires others. Social media is currently one of the platforms for personal branding. If we have good and positive content, package it well so that it doesn’t get overshadowed by negative viral content. There are still many segments or fields that can be used as social media content. Including automotive,” said Aliyah.

He tries to explain to those who want to become influencers or content creators and are still confused about which segment to get involved in. The trick is to try out various segments first. Aliyah said that later on, there will definitely be someone with good feedback. So that you will find suitable content.
“If you currently have a passion for the automotive world, then try creating positive content from various automotive angles. Do it consistently, you will definitely get a response and finally we can determine what content we will continue and develop. The important thing is that the content is positive and can influence other people,” he continued.

According to Aliyah, everyone is actually an influencer. For her, people who just share or provide information about goodness, and then there are others who are interested and follow them, are actually influencers.
He briefly told us about the beginning of his many collaborative activities with Dompet Dhuafa. In 2017, he first started collaborating with Dompet Dhuafa in Padang, West Sumatra. At that time, the agenda was to participate in a care visit to a shelter there. His admiration grew as he became more and more familiar with Dompet Dhuafa’s programs. Until now, he is still actively participating in Dompet Dhuafa activities together to spread kindness as widely as possible.
“Kindness is not for others but for ourselves. So don’t get fixated on other people’s judgments but on what we can do,” he tells students who are currently struggling to seek knowledge.

Meanwhile, together with GIIAS, Dompet Dhuafa is collaborating in the field of education. Yudha Andilla said that GIIAS is one of Dompet Dhuafa’s strategic partners in building quality education for the poor. In addition, Dompet Dhuafa also opened a booth in the middle of the GIIAS event crowd to invite more people and communities to join in acts of kindness with Dompet Dhuafa.
Yudha explained the benefits of zakat for education. That is, with zakat, Dompet Dhuafa continues to strive to produce superior generations from disadvantaged areas so that they can be enlightened. So that when they return to their hometowns, they become beacons of knowledge and access to education in their respective regions. This is the benefit of zakat managed by Dompet Dhuafa in the education sector.
“Hopefully, with the synergy of GIIAS and the community, Allah will open up the ease, hope, and aspirations that we all pray for. In the midst of our splendor at GIIAS, Allah will facilitate all our prayers,” concluded Yudha. (Dompet Dhuafa / Muthohar)
