JAKARTA – Solidarity for Palestine continues to flow from the Indonesian people. From October 2023 until now entering Ramadan 2024, the Palestinians are still threatened and are experiencing hunger. Various parties have also been moved to donate assistance, including RA Istiqlal.
In the Ramadan Ceria (Happy Ramadan) activity, RA Istiqlal also raised donations from students, teachers, and parents for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. The donation of IDR 13,595,000 was then distributed in the Parsel Ramadan (Ramadan Gifts) sharing program with Dompet Dhuafa on Saturday (3/20/2024).
In addition, the strengthening of humanitarian values was also described in the storytelling presented by Kak Dini from Dompet Dhuafa. Through stories, it is emotionally easier for children to understand and imagine the conditions in Palestine.

The principal of RA Istiqlal expressed his gratitude that the community, especially the children, are still enthusiastic about helping Palestine to this day.
“We want to continue striving for Palestine and Al-Aqsa with whatever we can do, including today’s fundraising activities as a form of our concern for our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” he said.

Along with the Ramadan activities, Dompet Dhuafa also invited Sheikh Ibrahim Ali Hasan from Gaza to share his story or experiences during his stay in Palestine. The ustaz (Islamic teacher) said that the people of Gaza are very strong because they are equipped with faith and the Qur’an as a source of strength.
“The people of Gaza are on average memorizers of the Qur’an and that has been their only strength until now. In fact, they are not afraid of death either, so they dare to fight the Zionists,” he said.
“We as Palestinians say jazakallahu khairan, as Allah says, may the Istiqlal Madrasah and all be gathered at the Al-Aqsa Mosque after Al-Aqsa becomes independent,” he added.

Dompet Dhuafa, which was also present at that time represented by Neng Nadiyya Syaima, expressed their gratitude because Istiqlal RA had been kind enough to help their brothers and sisters in Palestine.
“Hopefully Palestine will recover quickly and become independent and we are also grateful for the synergy of kindness that has been established until now. Hopefully this collaborative synergy will continue and be established for the purpose of spreading kindness,” he said.
At the end of the session, Sheikh Ibrahim Ali Hasan invited children and teachers to pray together for the safety of Palestine and Al-Aqsa, as well as for the prosperity of Indonesia, which continues to defend Palestine to this day. (Dompet Dhuafa)
