MEDAN, NORTH SUMATERA — The Head of the SAR (Search And Rescue) Medan Office, Budiono, S.E, M.M, received an audience with Dompet Dhuafa Waspada which was held at the Medan Search and Rescue office located at Jl. Jamin Ginting No.99, Sidomulyo, Medan Tuntungan, Medan City, North Sumatra, on Tuesday (30/8/2022).
The hearing was also welcomed by Budiono, the head of the Medan SAR Office, who admitted that the synergy between the two was a good idea. In disaster management, active collaboration with various elements of society, including the government and humanitarian agencies such as Dompet Dhuafa, is essential.
“It’s a good idea, how can we work together in synergy with each other. Moreover, handling this disaster is something that directly concerns lives. So it’s a vital thing,” said Budiono.
He also hopes that this synergy can be realized immediately. ‘We welcome the arrival of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada, and hope that we can realize it immediately,’ said Budiono.
Present at the hearing, the Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada, Sulaiman, conveyed the purpose of the hearing. Sulaiman also conveyed Dompet Dhuafa Waspada’s desire to collaborate with SAR Medan in an effort to handle disasters in the Medan area and its surroundings. “As part of a humanitarian institution, we want to be able to work together to handle disasters,” said Sulaiman.
He also expressed his gratitude for the fact that the Medan SAR had welcomed the audience. “Thank you to the head of SAR Medan for responding well to our audience. I hope that we can immediately draw up an MoU regarding this synergy,” he said.
From this audience, two of the results are that first, SAR Medan is ready to support and facilitate all programs and activities of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada relating to disasters.
