JAKARTA — Treading the path of 29 years in the humanitarian field, the Islamic Philanthropy Institution Dompet Dhuafa continues to uphold the trust of donors and the Indonesian people. Transparency in the management of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (ZISWAF) funds, as well as qurban and humanitarian aid, has been the key to Dompet Dhuafa‘s existence to this day.
Hundreds of billions of rupiah in donations from Indonesian donors and the public are managed through five pillars of programs in the fields of education, health, economy, social disaster relief, da’wah, and humanitarian culture. On July 2, 2022, Dompet Dhuafa received the best gift in the form of its 2021 Financial Report with an unqualified opinion.
This strengthens Dompet Dhuafa as a transparent zakat management institution (LAZ) and waqf management institution (Nadzir), in accordance with PSAK 109 and PSAK 112, and has been audited by KAP Heliantono and partners from Parker Russel International. The use of ZISWAF funds has followed the directives of the Sharia Supervisory Board and complied with established regulations.
“Alhamdulillah, on its 29th anniversary, Dompet Dhuafa‘s financial report received an unqualified opinion. This is a remarkable achievement as a birthday gift this year, and hopefully through this WTP award, Dompet Dhuafa can provide greater benefits to the community, especially the poor,” said Prima Hadi Putra, Director of Business Operating Support at Dompet Dhuafa.
In addition to the Financial Statement audit, Dompet Dhuafa has also been audited by the Inspectorate General of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs regarding Sharia Compliance. The program fund distribution ratio has increased compared to last year, with an ACR (Allocation to Collection Ratio) of 80% in 2021. Based on government regulations as stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs (KMA) No. 606 of 2020, this ACR value falls into the category of effective program distribution.
Dompet Dhuafa’s financial reports have been audited since its first year of establishment in 1993 by KAP Amir Abadi Jusuf and most recently by KAP Heliantono and colleagues from Parker Russel International. Dompet Dhuafa’s financial reports have also always received an unqualified opinion (WTP).
