JEMBRANA, BALI — Eid al-Adha is one of the holidays eagerly awaited by Muslims around the world. During the Eid al-Adha celebrations, Muslims are encouraged to slaughter livestock such as sheep, goats, or cows as a sign of their faith and devotion to Allah SWT. After the animals are slaughtered, the sacrificers are allowed to share the sacrificial meat with those who are entitled to receive it as a form of sharing and fostering brotherhood among fellow human beings.
Since 1994, Dompet Dhuafa has been spreading the goodness of Qurbani throughout Indonesia and the world through the Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) program. This year, Dompet Dhuafa Bali collaborated with Banser Ranting Desa Tegal Badeng Timur, Kecamatan Negara, Kabupaten Jembrana, to distribute sacrificial meat to converts at the Dompet Dhuafa Bali Convert Islamic Boarding School and residents around the boarding school on Tuesday (7/12/2022). A total of 50 packages of sacrificial meat were distributed to the converts and residents. This activity was greatly appreciated by the Head of Tegal Badeng Timur Village, H Alinudin.
The Head of Tegal Badeng Timur Village was very pleased with the presence of Dompet Dhuafa Bali, which always pays attention to converts and the poor in his village. “Thank you to Dompet Dhuafa Bali for continuously paying attention to converts and the poor in our village, especially during Eid al-Adha,” said Alinudin.
The head of Dompet Dhuafa Bali, Fadly Hassan, who accompanied the entire process of distributing the qurbani meat this time, was very happy to be able to make the converts happy with the qurbani meat that had been entrusted by the donors of Dompet Dhuafa Bali. “Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to be able to deliver the qurbani from these donors to the converts in Tegal Badeng Timur Village. Thank you to the donors of Dompet Dhuafa Bali who have entrusted their sacrifices to us. Alhamdulillah, the trust has been fulfilled, the converts are happy, and may every smile of happiness from the converts here bear great rewards for the donors, amin,” said Fadly Hassan.
On the occasion of Eid al-Adha this year, Dompet Dhuafa is once again holding the THK program, which aims to distribute qurbani from donors to all corners of the country and even overseas. Every process, from slaughtering to distribution, will be recorded and reported to donors to maintain trust and transparency in the implementation of THK 2022.
In its implementation, Dompet Dhuafa involves various elements of society to ensure the success of the 2022 THK program. This is an active form of collaboration undertaken by Dompet Dhuafa, especially in areas where the distribution of sacrificial animals is still minimal.
