JAKARTA —-— At the end of Ramadan, all levels of society are increasingly spreading benefits and kindness to receive blessings in this month full of grace. Similarly, Geotechnical Environmental Service Indonesia (PT Golder Associates) has partnered with Dompet Dhuafa to distribute various donations to ease the burden on people in need.
PT Golder Associates has donated more than just one thing through Dompet Dhuafa. First, the kindness began with providing assistance in the form of food packages to an elderly man who works as a mosque caretaker in Condet, East Jakarta, on Monday (4/18/2022). This profession is sometimes looked down upon by the general public, but his dedication to maintaining our place of worship so that it remains comfortable deserves our appreciation.
Then the location moved to Parung, Bogor Regency, West Java, where there is an integrated Dompet Dhuafa education program area, namely the Dompet Dhuafa Human Development Institute (LPI). On this occasion, the students of Ekselensia Tahfidz School (E-Tahfidz) received a surprise in the form of 20 packages of sarongs and prayer mats for worship.
This was certainly very exciting for the E-Tahfidz students who are currently focused on memorizing the Quran and will soon be celebrating Eid al-Fitr. Not only E-Tahfidz, but in the LPI Dompet Dhuafa area, there is also Smart Ekselensia Indonesia, a high-quality school designed for underprivileged students from across Indonesia. Additionally, PT Golder Associates also supported the program by providing 36 milk cartons to the students there.
“On this occasion, PT Golder Associates is collaborating with Dompet Dhuafa in distributing donations in various forms. First, there are food packages donated to elderly mosque caretakers in East Jakarta. Then there are also sarongs and prayer mats for E-Tahfidz students and dozens of milk cartons for students at Smart Ekselensia Indonesia, a Dompet Dhuafa initiative,” explained Vini Hidayani, Strategic Corporate Partnership at Dompet Dhuafa.
The various acts of kindness initiated by PT Golder Associates through Dompet Dhuafa are truly worthy of emulation. In fact, the sources of these donations are the result of personal contributions from PT Golder Associates employees. Despite their busy schedules, the employees continue to maintain empathy and concern for others, especially during this Ramadan month, to #BeBeneficial.
“The source of these donations is the result of a collection, or what we often refer to as a joint effort by the employees of Golder Associates. Despite their busy schedules, they have not forgotten their sense of caring for others by carrying out acts of kindness such as this during Ramadan,” concluded Vini.
A good deed that starts from a small group will spread and become something big in the future. Hopefully, what PT Golder Associates has done will inspire and encourage kindness in all communities everywhere.
