JAKARTA —-— Dompet Dhuafa and PT Kobelindo Compressor distributed school supplies and food packages to 50 orphans and underprivileged children at the Al Akhyar Orphan Foundation in Cilandak Timur, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Saturday (January 29, 2026). In addition, they also received financial assistance from the Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Agency (LPM).
The program, titled “New Year Gifts for Orphans and the Underprivileged,” aims to help school-aged children from elementary to junior high school to have adequate and suitable learning facilities. This assistance is a gift from PT Kobelindo Compressor to mark its 25th anniversary.
Dompet Dhuafa Partnership, Muhammad Zidni Ilman, also representing PT Kobelindo Compressor, stated that the company’s involvement in this program is part of its social commitment to support education, especially for children in need. Meanwhile, the timing of the anniversary serves as an expression of gratitude for the company’s achievements, while also sharing happiness and honoring orphaned children.

For Kobelindo, education is one of the main keys to improving the quality of life of the community. However, economic limitations are still an obstacle for some orphans and the poor in meeting their basic school needs. It is this condition that has prompted PT Kobelindo Compressor to present a sharing program as a form of concern for the future of the younger generation.
One of the beneficiaries, Bintang Pamungkas, a fourth-grade elementary school student, admitted that he was happy and touched to receive the assistance. On this occasion, in addition to receiving gifts and compensation, he was also happy because Dompet Dhuafa’s older siblings invited him to share stories together.
“I’m happy to get a new bag and books. There are also food parcels,” he said with a smile.
The series of activities began with the opening ceremony and the recitation of sholawat Nabi (praises to the Prophet). This was followed by cheering together, the symbolic handover of donations, the distribution of school supplies packages, and the distribution of pocket money to the beneficiary children.
In addition to being a means of distributing aid, this activity also serves as a momentum to foster social solidarity and strengthen the relationship between donors, institutions, and beneficiary communities.
Dompet Dhuafa invites other members of the community to participate in various collaborative actions like this. This way, the initiative can continue and reach more orphans and underprivileged children in various regions.
