20,000 Liters of Clean Water from Dompet Dhuafa Donors Reaches Palestinians in the First Week of Ramadan 1447 H

KHAN YOUNIS, PALESTINE —-— Praise be to God, during the holy month of Ramadan, which is full of blessings, Dompet Dhuafa successfully delivered the donations from its supporters in the form of clean water to Palestinians in the Khan Younis and Gaza City areas.

The clean water aid, distributed on the eighth day of Ramadan, Wednesday (02/25/2026), was loaded onto water tank trucks. There were two water tank trucks, each containing 10,000 liters of water.

“Alhamdulillah, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, thanks to the donations entrusted to us—particularly from the Indonesian public—clean water for the Palestinian people was successfully delivered and distributed,” said Shofa Qudus, Head of the Disaster Management Center (DMC) at Dompet Dhuafa, on Thursday (February 26, 2026) in Jakarta.

According to Shofa, every jerrycan filled with clean water is not just ordinary water, but a symbol of humanity that never ceases. She also expressed her gratitude to the donors who have participated in continuing to support Gaza.

“Thank you to all the donors; your kindness transcends national borders, bearing witness to the love for our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Insha’Allah, this kindness will not stop here. The trust placed in us will continue to support various other humanitarian programs,” said Shofa.

During this clean water distribution, children and adults in Khan Younis and Gaza lined up in an orderly manner. They brought any containers they could find to collect the clean water, ranging from jerrycans and buckets to used plastic bottles.

The residents living in those refugee camps also looked happy to have access to clean water, especially during this month of Ramadan. According to Shofa, this enthusiasm serves as a driving force for Dompet Dhuafa to continue providing humanitarian aid, particularly basic necessities for the Palestinian people.

In addition to clean water, Shofa also mentioned that her organization will distribute other forms of aid, such as food packages. These food packages can be consumed as iftar and suhoor meals for the residents of Gaza and Khan Younis.

“In addition, Dompet Dhuafa is also distributing food packages for iftar and suhoor for the residents of Gaza,” she said.
