In the Lead-Up to Ramadan Kalcer 2026, J-Rocks Encourages Audience to Show Solidarity and Help Sumatra Through Dompet Dhuafa

SOUTH TANGERANG —-— Dompet Dhuafa once again hosted the annual “PDKT” (Drawing Closer to God) Ramadan concert featuring the band J-Rocks at Interaksi Space Café in Pamulang, South Tangerang, on Sunday (March 8, 2026). There, Dompet Dhuafa encouraged the audience not only to have fun but also to use this music concert as a platform to foster compassion for others, particularly for flood survivors in Sumatra.

“Alhamdulillah, thank you for the collaboration with J-Rocks and J-Rockstars (the name of the J-Rocks fan community). We invite everyone here not just to hang out and listen to music, but also to hang out while sharing,” said Yudha Andilla, Retail Fundraising Manager for ZIS (Zakat, Infak, Sedekah) at Dompet Dhuafa, in his opening remarks.

Yudha stated that the donations collected from this J-Rocks concert will be distributed to flood survivors in Sumatra. He hopes that this charitable collaboration between J-Rocks and Dompet Dhuafa will serve as a source of encouragement for the survivors to rise up and recover.

“Hopefully, today’s event can serve as a source of encouragement for our brothers and sisters in Sumatra, letting them know they are not alone. May what we are doing here also inspire other arts activists—not just J-Rocks, but fellow musicians and others as well,” he said.

As the time for breaking the fast approached, the event began with a Ramadan religious talk. Following that, there was also a door prize drawing for J-Rocks fans who had purchased concert tickets. The concert tickets were randomly drawn to win the grand prize of a Scorpion-brand guitar, a guitar effects pedal from NUX, and other attractive prizes.

Meanwhile, J-Rocks’ lead guitarist, Sony Ismail Robbayani, noted that this PDKT event was initially initiated by their fans. The term “PDKT,” Sony continued, is taken from one of J-Rocks’ song titles. This event is held annually during the holy month of Ramadan as a moment for J-Rocks members to reconnect with their fans, the J-Rockstars.

“This marks the 10th year of the PDKT event. What makes this year’s PDKT special is that we’re collaborating again with Dompet Dhuafa. We’ve also invited other musician friends like KILMS (formerly Killing Me Inside) and d’AVERY,” explained Sony.

According to Sony, this year’s PDKT event isn’t just about having fun and singing; he believes it holds a special significance. That special meaning, he said, lies in remembering the plight of disaster survivors in Sumatra who are still struggling to recover following the disaster last November.

“Hopefully, through this year’s PDKT, we can provide support or share what we have with friends in need, especially in Sumatra,” he concluded.

The PDKT event was also attended by Indonesian comedian Dustin Tiffani. Dustin not only hosted the event but also sang alongside J-Rocks on stage. The atmosphere was electric, and the audience was thoroughly entertained by Dustin’s performance on stage.

In addition to singing on stage, Dustin also encouraged the audience to donate to Sumatra at the Dompet Dhuafa booth set up next to the music stage. He didn’t just encourage others; Dustin also personally contributed his own funds to the flood survivors in Sumatra. He visited the Dompet Dhuafa booth and made his donation there on the spot.

To make it easier for visitors to donate, Dompet Dhuafa also deployed a team of volunteers to walk around carrying donation bags. Donations could be made not only in cash but also by scanning the barcode affixed to the donation bags.
