THK Manages Qurbani, DD Farm Ronting Reaches 3,963 Beneficiary Households in Two Regencies

RONTING, EAST MANGGARAI — The mission to distribute sacrificial meat to remote areas of the country continues to be upheld by Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) Dompet Dhuafa. From Sabang to Merauke, combing through the outermost corners and borders of Indonesia, no area is left out of the distribution target. From the spirit of distributing 999 sacrificial animals in 1994, Dompet Dhuafa continues to grow, receiving the mandate from Shohibul Kurban. Year after year, the number of sacrificial animals distributed continues to increase, reaching tens of thousands.

The joy of the increased distribution of sacrificial animals was also felt in East Manggarai Coast, precisely in Ronting Hamlet, Satar Kampas Village, North Lamba Leda Subdistrict, East Manggarai. During this year’s sacrifice, THK Dompet Dhuafa, through DD Farm Ronting, distributed 55 cows, entrusted by the sacrificers. Since the development of the DD Farm agricultural and livestock center in Ronting, the area has always been one of the locations for the distribution of THK sacrificial animals.

“Praise be to God, this time we have once again received the trust of THK to sacrifice 55 cows. The average weight ranges from 250-380 kg. We are certainly grateful for this increase. Because with the increase in the number of trusts, the number of beneficiaries also increases. From these 55 cows, we have expanded the distribution location. This Eid al-Adha, we are targeting two districts, namely Manggarai Raya District and East Manggarai District. The distribution will target 49 mosques and 1 community in 15 villages in the two districts,” explained Abuyah Syafrudin, the implementer of the DD Farm Ronting program, via text message on Tuesday (7/12/2022) evening.

Syafrudin reiterated that with the increase in the distribution of sacrificial animals from THK Dompet Dhuafa donors, the number of beneficiaries would also increase. According to the distribution records, the meat from the 55 sacrificial cows reached 3,963 beneficiary families. As a result, more smiles were seen thanks to the blessings of the sacrificial meat in Manggarai Raya and East Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara.

The Happiness of the Beneficiaries

“We are proud to welcome this program from Dompet Dhuafa. It has helped improve nutrition in this region. Even the distribution of sacrificial meat was carried out in a friendly and professional manner by the THK Dompet Dhuafa committee at DD Farm Ronting. We hope this program will continue and that more people will benefit from it. So that the people in remote areas who have not yet received assistance can be touched by the kindness of Dompet Dhuafa donors. We hope that Dompet Dhuafa will continue to work to help the community,” said Muhammadin, one of the beneficiaries of the sacrificial meat from Pota Village, Sambi Rampas District, East Manggarai, NTT, to the Dompet Dhuafa team.

He will distribute it fairly to more than 100 families in the area.

The number of sacrificial animals at DD Farm Ronting continues to grow. Abuyah Syafrudin said, “In Ronting, the number of sacrificial animals we manage continues to increase. In 2019, we managed 10 cows. Then in 2020, it increased to 30 cows, and in 2021, there were 45 sacrificial cows. This year, in 2022, we have been entrusted to distribute 55 sacrificial cows from donors. We distributed these sacrificial cows to several areas in the two aforementioned districts. May THK Dompet Dhuafa continue to grow, and may more people benefit from it.” (Dompet Dhuafa/Taufan YN)
