Dompet Dhuafa continues to strive to expand the benefits of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (Ziswaf) entrusted by donors. This time, in September 2025, Alhamdulillah, Dompet Dhuafa has reached 24 provinces throughout Indonesia and provided Ziswaf benefits to a total of 147,440 people.
The beneficiaries are divided into several sectors. Starting from the beneficiaries of humanitarian/social programs totaling 97,136 people, then education programs totaling 22,807 people, health totaling 19,504 people, economy totaling 808 people, and da’wah and culture totaling 7,185 people. Of course, all of these Ziswaf beneficiaries are in accordance with Islamic provisions, including those who are poor, needy, in debt, fighting in the way of Allah, travelers, and so on.
Dompet Dhuafa believes that community empowerment is the key to building a prosperous country, and the essence of empowerment lies in independence. For this reason, we not only provide assistance, but also offer guidance, training, and continuing education. This commitment is the foundation of every step we take, as illustrated in the story of Pak Samsul, who is now a melon farmer at Greenhouse Melon Banjar.
“I used to work odd jobs and as a restaurant guard, then Mr. Elan (Head of the Banjar Greenhouse Melon Group) invited me to grow melons. From seeds, planting media, to harvesting, Mr. Elan taught me everything from scratch. Now I enjoy this work because I really like it. Thank God, the results are always good and can be used to pay for my children’s school fees. My hope is that the melon harvest will continue to improve, sales will be smooth, and it can continue to provide benefits, not only for my family, but also for the surrounding community,” said Samsul.
