Ahead of Ramadan, Dompet Dhuafa Distributes Aid from the Indonesian People to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine

PALESTINE —-— The humanitarian organization Dompet Dhuafa distributed donations from the Indonesian people supporting Palestine directly to Al-Aqsa Mosque. Ahead of Ramadan 1447 AH, Dompet Dhuafa distributed 300 copies of the Quran in the form of waqf to be used by all Muslims who read the Quran at Al-Aqsa Mosque. This distribution of aid is part of the Protect the Guardians of Al-Aqsa campaign, which is one of Dompet Dhuafa’s main Ramadan programs.

Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of Dompet Dhuafa, said that the distribution of Qurans at Al-Aqsa and aid for SMEs around the Al-Aqsa Mosque area are part of Dompet Dhuafa’s major campaign to continue providing support for the Palestinian people’s struggle.

The presence of the Dompet Dhuafa Humanitarian Team at Masjid Al-Aqsa is a form of a wave of kindness that never stops for Palestine. They are also there to deliver and oversee various forms of aid sent to Palestine, whether through Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, or directly to the West Bank, specifically in the city of Jerusalem.

In addition to the Waqf Mushaf Al-Qur’an, other assistance has also been prepared for the Palestinian people to celebrate Ramadan, namely Ramadan iftar meals that will be served at the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex. Dompet Dhuafa also distributes aid to hafiz and hafizah children who are memorizers of the Qur’an, as well as Palestinian orphan hafiz and hafizah.

Humanitarian aid was also given to MSME owners around Al-Aqsa Mosque, who are currently facing difficulties in doing business. This is because the taxes and prices imposed by the occupiers on the Palestinian people have made their lives difficult.

“It is an honor for us, Dompet Dhuafa, to be able to directly distribute the donations entrusted by the Indonesian people to the Palestinian people. Especially the surrounding community who are the Guardians of Al-Aqsa. Due to the occupation, fewer and fewer Palestinian Muslims remain in Jerusalem, or Al-Quds,” said Suci Nuzleni Qadarsih, General Manager of Marcom Dompet Dhuafa, who is a member of the Dompet Dhuafa Humanitarian Team to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Suci added that the Palestinian people also welcomed this assistance with joy and eagerly awaited the arrival of the Indonesian people to visit and prosper Al-Aqsa Mosque. The arrival of Indonesians, especially Muslims, is important for the Palestinian people around Al-Aqsa. Because the support of Muslims around the world, especially Indonesian Muslims, is needed to continue to be present and that Al-Aqsa Mosque is an important mosque for Muslims and we need to continue to prosper it.

The administrator of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Majedi, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the concern shown by the Indonesian people towards the Palestinians living around Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“We always invite and urge our brothers and sisters from all over the Islamic world to make a pilgrimage to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and to emphasize the importance of visiting this blessed place.”

“In particular, we call on our beloved brothers and sisters from Indonesia, and we look forward to your visit in the near future,” said Sheikh Majedi.

In addition to providing assistance to Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank, Dompet Dhuafa also has a mission to distribute aid to Palestinian refugees in refugee camps in Jordan. The aid consists of food parcels and health services for Palestinian refugees. (Dompet Dhuafa)
