Dompet Dhuafa Staff Ready to Embark on a Noble Mission During Ramadan 1447 H

BOGOR — In preparation for Ramadan 1447 H, Dompet Dhuafa held a Tarhib Ramadan event for Dompet Dhuafa staff, including Program Management Partners (MPP), Dompet Dhuafa Branch offices, Dompet Dhuafa Net, and the entire Dompet Dhuafa family network, as a way to reinforce the values and spirit needed to carry out programs throughout the month of Ramadan 1447 H, on Thursday (February 12, 2026) at the Madina Zone area in Bogor.

On that occasion, Sulis Tiqomah, Chair of Dompet Dhuafa’s Ramadan 1447 H campaign, publicly announced the fundraising targets, the target beneficiaries, and Dompet Dhuafa’s efforts to achieve these goals through the flagship programs that have been prepared.

This year, Dompet Dhuafa is promoting the theme “Berzakat Itu Kacer.” This is based on the phenomenon that while Indonesia is often named the most charitable country, in reality, Indonesians have a habit of enjoying sharing and possess a “sharing DNA.”

Additionally, the choice of the theme “Berzakat Itu Kalcer” is derived from the word culture—translated as “kultur” in Indonesian—which is adapted to “kalcer” through a wordplay considered more relatable to the younger generation. Dompet Dhuafa aims to continue fostering the spirit of sharing as a habit and cultivating a culture of sharing with joy and voluntary participation, free from coercion, so that sharing becomes a lifestyle embraced by Indonesian society.

Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Board of Directors, stated that this event also serves as a reflection of Dompet Dhuafa’s journey—from its inception over the years until reaching its 32nd year—continuing to be granted opportunities up to Ramadan 1447 H.

Ahmad also urged all Dompet Dhuafa staff, during the month of Ramadan, to always prepare themselves to be entrusted with a noble mission: serving the community during Ramadan and deepening their devotion to Allah.

“We must carry out these two roles well, performing them with strength and balance to the best of our ability. We also dedicate our duties as charity workers because this Ramadan is a special time for all Muslims in the context of seeking Allah’s pleasure, so we must serve to the best of our ability,” said Ahmad.

Furthermore, according to Ahmad, an equally important aspect during Ramadan is demonstrating to the public that Dompet Dhuafa possesses a strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and commitment in managing funds. These funds are not merely collected but are also effectively channeled through sustainable or empowering programs.

Dompet Dhuafa also highlighted several issues in its planned Ramadan program, including its support for Palestine, which has been demonstrated over the past month through various activities. Additionally, the Ramadan season is being used to distribute aid to our brothers and sisters in Sumatra affected by floods and landslides, given the significant trust placed in us by the public to alleviate the burden on flood and landslide survivors in Sumatra.

In welcoming the holy month eagerly awaited by all Muslims, Dompet Dhuafa serves as a bridge between donors (muzakki) and beneficiaries (mustahik) in distributing ZISWAF funds. Through this role, funds are distributed to assist communities facing economic pressures.

Sulis Tiqomah, Chairperson of Ramadan 1447 H, stated that the fundraising target for the upcoming Ramadan month is Rp156.2 billion; Dompet Dhuafa has already planned numerous programs that will reach 750,000 beneficiaries.

This reinforcement of values and spirit was also followed by the branch network through virtual meetings. On the same occasion, the National Tarhib Ramadan event was held simultaneously with Dompet Dhuafa branches in the Central Java and Yogyakarta regions. A number of branch representatives expressed their joy in welcoming Ramadan and declared their readiness to ensure the success of the Ramadan 1447 H program and achieve the established shared target.

With the same energy, Yudi Latif, a member of the Dompet Dhuafa Board of Trustees, emphasized that the spirit of celebrating Ramadan is a noble endeavor, one that can be achieved through the motivation of a guiding principle: how we act to bring happiness to others.

“So, sources of happiness that are social and emotional in nature—such as sharing and benefiting others—are what increase happiness. Because while material aid can help the poor by facilitating a life of basic sufficiency, for the wealthy, it creates a ritual to enhance their chances of happiness—making this the most noble work,” explained Yudi.

In addition, Dompet Dhuafa symbolically sent off 20 selected Dai Ambassadors to spread the message of Islam in 20 countries. The series of activities concluded with a lecture delivered by Ahmad Wafiudin Sakkam, a member of Dompet Dhuafa’s Sharia Supervisory Board, aimed at reinforcing the values of goodness in preparation for Ramadan 1447 H.

Thus, through the various programs that have been launched, Dompet Dhuafa invites all segments of society to welcome Ramadan 1447 H, which can give Indonesia hope for the goodness and happiness of those in need (Dompet Dhuafa)
