Kalcer Kebaikan: Dompet Dhuafa’s Ramadan 1447 H Fundraising Increases by 15 Percent

JAKARTA —-— During the month of Ramadan 1447 AH, Dompet Dhuafa recorded a 15.2 percent increase in the collection of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (Ziswaf) compared to the same period last year. This achievement was announced in the early hours of 1 Shawwal 1447 AH, or Saturday, March 21, 2026.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, Ahmad Juwaini, stated that this increase reflects the high level of generosity among the public as well as a positive trend for the fundraising efforts of the Dompet Dhuafa philanthropic organization throughout Ramadan 2026.

“This 15.2 percent growth is clear evidence of the active participation and generosity of the Indonesian people in fulfilling their obligations of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf through a trusted institution,” said Ahmad in his statement.

Dompet Dhuafa, as a National Zakat Management Institution (LAZ), continues to strive to manage community funds professionally, both for the distribution of aid and the development of empowerment programs.

The increase in fundraising is also in line with the growing number of donors, with Millennials and Gen Z still dominating the donor base.

During Ramadan 1447 Hijri, Dompet Dhuafa raised over Rp138 million. This fundraising effort was accompanied by the implementation of several flagship programs projected to reach approximately 750,000 beneficiaries across various regions.

Some of the programs that were the focus of Ramadan 1447 H include Mudik Kalcer, Borong Dagangan Saudaramu, Remember (Orphan Assistance), Tebar Zakat Fitrah (TZF), Braille Quran Donations, Ramadan Gift Packages, Honoring Orphans, Ramadan in Palestine, Easy Fidyah at Dompet Dhuafa, Zakat for Disaster Victims, Ramadan in Disaster-Affected Areas, and Ber-OJOL (Supporting Businesses and Maintaining Online Motorcycle Taxi Vehicles).

The Kalcer Homecoming Program transported 750 travelers by bus to Central Java, East Java, and Lampung. Recipients of this free bus service included breadwinners in the informal sector, such as Quran teachers and contract teachers, mosque caretakers, vendors, domestic workers, and casual day laborers.

Meanwhile, the Ber-OJOL Program focused on vehicle assistance and maintenance services for 1,447 online motorcycle taxi partners. Not only that, but they also received fitrah zakat rice from Dompet Dhuafa as an additional form of support for performing their religious duties during the holy month.

As for the “Borong Dagangan Saudaramu” initiative, it was carried out through a scheme of purchasing goods from small business owners every day for the 30 days of Ramadan. For the “Remember” program, Dompet Dhuafa aims to provide aid to 2,000 orphans through a collaboration with the Indonesian Catering Services Association (PPJI) and Ancol.

On the other hand, this year’s national “Tebar Zakat Fitrah” program distributed 10 tons of rice, prioritizing disaster-affected areas in Sumatra.

Not only that, Dompet Dhuafa is also continuing its recovery program in the region, with a target of building 1,000 temporary housing units (Rumtara), renovating schools, Polindes (Village Maternity Clinics), and repairing mosques.

This Ramadan, Dompet Dhuafa has also reaffirmed its commitment to helping the Palestinian people. The programs organized include the Palestinian Ramadan Food Package Drive, Palestinian Iftar, Palestinian Capital Assistance, and the “Stand with the Palestinian Struggle” program.

In addition to humanitarian programs, Dompet Dhuafa also sent off 20 Dai Ambassadors 2026 who will carry out empowerment da’wah missions in various countries. These dai will serve in a number of regions, including Australia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Germany, South Korea, New Caledonia, Timor-Leste, and Thailand.

“May the values we have gained during Ramadan remain with us forever. We express our gratitude and appreciation to the donors who have placed their trust in us. We also thank the beneficiaries who have reinforced the meaning of sharing. On this occasion, we also extend our Eid al-Fitr 1447 H greetings and ask for your forgiveness, both physically and spiritually,” said Juwaini.
