JAKARTA —-— Joy radiated from the faces of the children at the Kampung Melayu Orphanage in East Jakarta on Tuesday (March 31, 2026). Through a collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and Bostanten, a charity event for orphans, children who have lost one parent, and the underprivileged was successfully held in a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
A total of 60 children benefited from this event. They received various forms of assistance, ranging from school supply kits, snack packages, cash donations, to first-aid kits for the orphanage’s needs. This assistance is the result of the Ramadan campaign titled “Bring Lite Life Joys Home, Bostanten Grow Together,” which ran from February 9 to March 13, 2026.
The campaign encouraged Bostanten customers to shop while donating through online platforms such as TikTok and Shopee. A portion of the proceeds from every product transaction—whether for bags, shoes, wallets, or accessories—was channeled toward social initiatives, including this donation to the Kampung Melayu Orphanage.

In addition to providing aid, this event—themed “Grow Up Together”—also featured a variety of fun activities. The children were invited to play and interact with volunteers, KOLs, and the Bostanten team. Activities such as coloring contests, interactive games, quizzes, and finger painting livened up the atmosphere, creating meaningful moments of togetherness.
The head of the Kampung Melayu Orphanage, Ujang Supratman, expressed his gratitude and thanks for the care shown.
“We are very grateful to Dompet Dhuafa and Bostanten for their attention and affection toward our children. Activities like this not only provide material assistance but also bring happiness and renewed spirit to them,” he said.

Meanwhile, Utammi Sri Lestari, Partnership Manager at Dompet Dhuafa, stated that this collaboration serves as a platform for synergistic goodwill between philanthropic organizations and the business community.
“We believe that collaboration is key to expanding the benefits. Through our partnership with Bostanten, we aim to bring the joy of Ramadan to a wider audience while fostering social awareness within the community,” she said.
Similarly, Bostanten’s representative, Ibnu, the Operations Manager, noted that this initiative is part of the company’s commitment to growing alongside the community.
“Through this campaign, we aim to create tangible positive impact. We firmly believe that every small step—including those taken by our customers—can bring a big smile to those in need,” he said.

Among the dozens of beneficiaries, joy was also evident on the face of Seza Safika Sanum, an orphan who is currently in second grade and lives at the orphanage. With a beaming smile, Seza said she was very happy to participate in the event.
“I’m so happy to be able to play with the older kids and get a gift. Thank you so much,” she said innocently.
Through this event, in addition to providing aid, Dompet Dhuafa and Bostanten also brought hope and happiness to children in need. The spirit of growing together serves as a reminder that compassion and collaboration can create a broader and more meaningful impact. (Dompet Dhuafa)
