JAKARTA – In the middle of Ramadan 1446 Hijri, the residents of Bambon Village, Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, were surprised by the presence of Dompet Dhuafa while they were still struggling to recover from the effects of the flood. In the midst of this situation, there was a warm touch from Marcella Zalianty—actress, and Chef Amanda—contestant of Masterchef Indonesia 10, who brought joy and assistance to the flood survivors.
On Saturday (15/03/2025), Marcella and Chef Amanda, together with the Dompet Dhuafa Mobile Kitchen Team (Darling), cooked and distributed 230 servings of iftar food. The menu served was special, namely Balinese shredded chicken with matah chili sauce and appetizing crispy chicken skin. Not only that, they also provided complete takjil (traditional snacks served during Ramadan) in the form of fried foods, sweet iced tea, coconut ice, and fresh fruit juice.

The spirit of sharing of the PARFI 56 Chairperson did not stop at Darling. She went directly to the field, visiting residents’ houses to distribute food. Her smile and warm greeting were a consolation for the post-flood residents who were facing difficulties.
“We want to share happiness and ease the burden on our brothers and sisters affected by the flood. Today I also invited my children to learn to see the situation in the field,” Marcella said on the sidelines of the activity.
“Hopefully this small donation can provide encouragement and strength for them this Ramadan,” he added.

In addition to distributing food, PARFI 56 and Dompet Dhuafa also provided compensation to 30 orphans and donated prayer mats and prayer rugs for 30 mothers and the elderly. This assistance is expected to help them worship more comfortably in the month of Ramadan.
This sharing activity was also attended by Parni Hadi as the Initiator, Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa, as well as the Board of Directors of Dompet Dhuafa. Their presence shows Dompet Dhuafa’s full support for sharing efforts that are cool and help disaster victims.

“The important thing is to share halal, nutritious, free, and blessed food. I appreciate the concern of Marcella Zalianty, PARFI 56, and Chef Amanda who have also donated time and energy to help people in need,” said Parni Hadi.
In line with that, the Chairperson of Ramadhan 1446 H Dompet Dhuafa, Andriansyah, added that today’s activity was a concrete action of the collaborators of kindness of Dompet Dhuafa who were moved to send themselves directly to the community to greet and deliver assistance, especially during this moment in the month of Ramadan.
“Hopefully this activity can inspire more people to share and care for others. Good friends can also spread kindness through Alms for Dhuafa’s Elderly Qibla Mucena or Distributing 1,000 Groceries to Welcome Ramadan,” explained Andri.

Representing the residents of Kampung Bambon, Srengseng Sawah, Yudi Haryadiana, expressed his gratitude and pleasure to be able to maintain friendship and break the fast with Dompet Dhuafa and Marcella Zalianty.
“Alhamdulillah, we are pleasantly surprised and happy that the people of Kampung Bambon have received attention from Dompet Dhuafa and even Marcella Zalianty here, cooking in our small village. This is exciting and restores our spirit after the previous flood,” said Yudi.
The flood that hit Jakarta some time ago has caused material and emotional losses for many residents. The assistance provided by Marcella, Chef Amanda, and Dompet Dhuafa is clear proof that caring and solidarity are still the main strengths in dealing with disasters.
