TANGERANG — Institut Kemandirian (IK) continues to provide additional knowledge and experience to Indonesian youth. Currently, 64 participants are taking part in a Digital Bootcamp training program that runs from July to October 2022. The aim is to produce new young entrepreneurs in various business fields according to their abilities.
In between programming and digital marketing training sessions, the 64 participants are given additional classes on a rotating basis. In these classes, four participants are given training in a kitchen lab to make Black Sesame Cake. This additional kitchen lab class is part of the Respace program by PT. Rebach Internasional.
Professional instructor from PT. Rebach Internasional, Keishya Rivita Halimma, explained that in this training, her team provided the recipe and techniques for making Black Sesame Cake. The first step was to introduce all the tools and their functions in the kitchen lab. Additionally, she explained which tools are used to make Black Sesame Cake.
“We introduce all the tools and their functions in the kitchen lab and those used to make Black Sesame Cake,” said Keishya after completing the training at the Innovation and Independence Building (GIK) on Jalan Zaitun II, Islamic Village Complex, Tangerang, on Friday afternoon, September 9, 2022.
Next, the graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia explained the ingredients used to make Black Sesame Cake to the four participants. The participants then immediately practiced making Black Sesame Cake. The process began with measuring the ingredients, mixing them, beating the batter using a mixer, and baking. Once the cake was done, the participants were taught how to cut the cake and coat it with the previously prepared cream.
“Finally, decorate the cake that has been coated with cream. All participants were able to understand the steps, process, and techniques of making Black Sesame Cake,” explained Keishya.
Despite the very limited time, the participants were able to make the Black Sesame Cake in just 3 hours. All the additional ingredients for the kitchen lab class were provided by PT. Rebach International. The finished cakes could be taken home to be enjoyed with their families.
Keishya hopes that PT. Rebach International can continue to teach other recipes to all participants of the Digital BootCamp training at the Institut Kemandirian Dompet Dhuafa. “Hopefully, by participating in the additional kitchen lab class, participants will gain additional knowledge and experience to prepare them for becoming young entrepreneurs,” she added.
