MADIUN, EAST JAVA —— The sounds of children’s laughter filled the Dompet Dhuafa Learning Center (RBDD) in Madiun. That morning, Wednesday (May 20, 2022), they were there learning languages together. By learning simple vocabulary, the children studied cheerfully.
From first to sixth grade elementary school students, they learn together in one class, occasionally doing ice-breaking activities to relieve boredom. Not only that, the children also learn educational games that train their concentration.

The head of Dompet Dhuafa East Java, Kholid Abdillah, said that they are very enthusiastic about learning. They follow the tutor’s instructions very well, although occasionally they need to be guided.
“Alhamdulillah, non-formal learning activities like this are quite effective in relieving boredom from school activities. In addition, it helps shift children’s focus away from playing with gadgets too often in this digital age,” said Kholid. (Dompet Dhuafa / East Java / Dhika)
