Jakarta: Alhamdulillah, the Sacrificial Animal Stocking (THK) 1444 H Dompet Dhuafa was successfully held from June 29, 2023 to July 2, 2023. As an Islamic philanthropic institution with 5 (five) program pillars that focus on empowerment and poverty reduction, this is the 29th year that Dompet Dhuafa has implemented the Sacrificial Animal Stocking program every Eid al-Adha.
The donors’ trust that entrusted Dompet Dhuafa this year was distributed abroad from all corners of the country. As for the 2023 sacrificial event, 27,419 sheep/goat equivalents have been successfully distributed. THK this year also succeeded in targeting its distribution to 29 provinces in Indonesia and 12 countries, with the number of beneficiaries reaching 1,777,080 people.
This fact was conveyed by Mariatul Kibtiah as Chairman of the THK Dompet Dhuafa 2023 Committee, “Along with the end of the tasyrik (the 3rd day after Idul Adha) day and the completion of the cutting process, the THK procession is over. Alhamdulillah, the national collection of THK (central and branch) as of July 2, 2023, at 14.00, there were 27,419 sheep or goat equivalents,” he said.
Dompet Dhuafa’s consistency in implementing the Sacrificial Animal Stocking program proves the institution’s commitment to helping needy people. This program is a tangible form of Dompet Dhuafa in providing support and care to those in remote areas, especially during the Eid Kurban moment.

After preparing for THK 1444 H for approximately 8 (eight) months until its implementation is complete, it is certainly not a short time to be able to provide the best service for donors, breeder partners and beneficiaries (mustahik). Of course, all management and Dompet Dhuafa personnel also apologize if there are still many shortcomings and mistakes in the implementation of THK this year.
However, even though the moment of Eid al-Adha 1444 H has passed, hopefully, this will be a lesson for all involved in THK 2023 to be more able to sharpen and care for the existing human nature. In addition, with the spirit of #SatuKurbanBanyakKebaikan, hopefully, other virtues can arise after or before the moment of Stocking Sacrificial Animals of Dompet Dhuafa, both for beneficiaries and Dompet Dhuafa Personnel on duty.
