Asshodriyah Islamic School Students Donate Market Day Proceeds to Palestine Through Dompet Dhuafa

BEKASI — On Friday (11/21/2025), Dompet Dhuafa once again received a donation from Asshodriyah Islamic School, which handed over aid for humanitarian survivors in Gaza, Palestine. The aid was the result of the implementation of the Market Day Program initiated by Asshodriyah Islamic School. With the guidance of teachers, the proceeds from the event were then directed as a form of compassion and donated to our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

Dompet Dhuafa acted as a partner in goodness by helping to distribute the donations collected by the students of Asshodriyah Islamic School. Market Day is held every year as a means for students to learn about business and transactions.

Through Market Day, Asshodriyah Islamic School aims to instill a spirit of entrepreneurship, creativity, and courage to communicate, while also fostering humanitarian values in line with the school’s mission of producing globally competitive individuals based on Islamic values.

Present at the event was Ahmad Baidowi, Head of Asshodriyah Islamic School, who expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the students who actively participated in Market Day, which generated profits that could be donated to Palestine.

“I personally feel proud of all the children because today we have seen the results of yesterday’s activities, and the children were also enthusiastic in participating in Market Day. As previously announced by the person in charge, the proceeds from yesterday’s event will be donated to Palestine through Dompet Dhuafa, and I will symbolically hand it over today,” said Ahmad Baidowi.

Symbolically, the donation for Palestine was handed over to Yudha Andilla, Retail Fundraising Manager of Dompet Dhuafa, during the Friday Study agenda, witnessed by all students and teachers of Asshodriyah Islamic School. Alhamdulillah, the donations collected amounted to IDR 13,040,000.

On this occasion, Yudha Andilla, as the Retail Manager of Dompet Dhuafa, expressed his appreciation to Asshodriyah Islamic School for its initiative in carrying out a movement of kindness through this unique activity.

“Dompet Dhuafa just sent humanitarian aid to Palestine last month, but our efforts don’t stop there because this humanitarian mission is a form of jihad and a mandate that we must uphold. Just like today, the students and teachers of Asshodriyah donated the profits from the market day to Palestine, an important value that not all schools teach. I really appreciate it,” said Yudha.

The collaboration between Asshodriyah Islamic School and Dompet Dhuafa has been renewed for the second time. Previously, Asshodriyah Islamic School had distributed Braille Al-Qur’an donations to the visually impaired as support for Al-Qur’an learning. This collaboration is expected to continue so that it can provide broader benefits, both for the students of Asshodriyah Islamic School and the community receiving assistance. (Dompet Dhuafa)
