BOGOR —– In an effort to meet the need for human resources (HR) with competence and expertise in the management of the deceased, the Ciawi Bogor village administration, together with the Body Care Agency (Barzah) of the Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Institution (LPM), held a body care training session Thursday (2/6/2022) at the Al-Amaliyah Grand Mosque in Ciawi, Bogor Regency – West Java.
A total of 40 participants from various elements of society participated in the training and hands-on practice of funeral services. They were women from the majlis ta’lim, village officials, and Bhabinkamtibmas (community police) in the Ciawi village administration.

The presentation stated that this funeral guidance activity was carried out with the intention that all participants present could learn about the procedures and obligations involved in handling a deceased body. That way, in every region there would be people responsible for providing funeral services to the community in their neighborhood.
“This training is a provision of knowledge and skills. We hold it to provide understanding and proper handling in terms of funeral arrangements, namely from bathing, shrouding, praying, to burial, so that it can be carried out properly, quickly, and accurately in accordance with Islamic law,” said Madroi.

Meanwhile, Ciawi Village Head Nana Sumarna, S.Ag, expressed his gratitude to Barzah Dompet Dhuafa for providing training on the handling of deceased bodies at the local government level.
“Alhamdulillah, this activity has been running well. They are very enthusiastic. Hopefully, this knowledge will be useful for all of us, so that we can replace the role and function of an amil who is able to take care of various conditions of the deceased. Thank you, Dompet Dhuafa,” said Nana. (Dompet Dhuafa / PR / Muthohar)
