BOGOR — The birth of an excellent Indonesian society is thanks to a development policy direction that prioritizes education as an investment for the future. Education is an investment in the future of the nation, so the education system must be instilled from early childhood. It must be a continuous and systemic program that is packaged in various policy programs, starting from early childhood education, primary school education, secondary school education, to higher education.
On Sunday (14/8/2022), the Human Development Institute (LPI) Dompet Dhuafa held the Indonesian Youth Creation x Cultural Conference (IYCC) entitled “Metamorphosis of Nation Builders” at the West Java Teacher Activist Center (BBGP), Jalan Raya Parung No.420, Bogor Regency, West Java. This event is also a graduation procession for 256 beneficiaries of the 2018 Etos ID scholarship who have participated in the scholarship program for 4 (four) years.
IYCC was held for two days on August 14-15, 2022. At the 2022 Etos Graduation, the attendees were Mulyadi Saputra as Head of LPI Dompet Dhuafa, Muhamad Saepudin as Etos ID Manager, Herman Budianto, GM of Education and Culture Dompet Dhuafa, Dian Mulyadi as General Manager of Communication & Corporate Secretary Dompet Dhuafa, Haryo Mojopahit as Chief Executive DMC Dompet Dhuafa, Dr. Irma Andriani as the Supervisor of EtosID Makassar, Abdul KHalim as the Head of Operations of LPI Dompet Dhuafa.

Mulyadi Saputra, Head of LPI Dompet Dhuafa, said, “The Etos ID LPI DD Program is a strategic human resource investment program, meaning that in Etos ID the competencies and character of the beneficiaries grow and develop with the profile of inspiring young people with integrity, professionalism, and transformative.”
In more detail, IYCC is said to be the initial momentum to strengthen the value of LPI Dompet Dhuafa’s usefulness through the inauguration process of the graduation of beneficiaries. It is also a momentum to strengthen the bonds between beneficiaries and to establish collaboration with program alumni, figures, and stakeholders. Not only that, the IYCC is also expected to produce superior human resources who are fully aware of and concerned about national development for a better Indonesia in the future.
“We want to strengthen the spirit of youth and strengthen the foundations and insights of young people to face the post-campus world. That is why Etos ID is holding the Indonesian Youth Creation x Cultural Conference (IYCC), a collaboration of works and ideas of young people from 23 regions throughout Indonesia. IYCC also confirms the Etos ID 2018 alumni,” added Muhamad Saepudin as Etos ID Manager.

During the program period, the Etoser are required to participate in a series of self-improvement activities; for example, Inspiring Leaders Talks with Greget Kalla Buana, Islamic Finance Specialist UNDP; Shally Pristine, Head – Public Affairs, Policy, and Social Impact at Grab; and Edy Fajar Prasetyo, Founder of the Sustainable Social Innovation Foundation; Post-Campus Workshops, Cultural Events, Inspirational Alumni Forums, and Capacity Building.
Dompet Dhuafa Education and Culture General Manager Herman Budianto added that Etos ID is a place where the great hopes of young people who hold the progress of the nation are pinned. The beneficiaries of the Etos ID program are molded to become pious generations who are useful to the nation and country.
“Etos ID is a forum for the great hopes of the youth who will carry the nation forward. In the future, the beneficiaries of Etos ID will be transformed into pious generations, Qowiy wal Maslahah, civilization changers,” he explained.

The IYCC event was attended by 139 offline participants & 117 online participants from 23 universities throughout Indonesia such as Andalas University, Syiah Kuala University, North Sumatra University, Lampung University, Jambi University, Mulawarman University, Palangka Raya University, Padjadjaran University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesian Education University, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Bogor Institute of Agriculture, University of Indonesia, Diponegoro University, Gadjah Mada University, Airlangga University, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Brawijaya University, Mataram University, Halu Oleo University, Hasanuddin University, West Sulawesi University, and Pattimura University.
