BOGOR —-— Dompet Dhuafa, together with Tokopedia, Ruang Temenin, and AA Juju, distributed qurbani animals through the 1447 H Qurbani Animal Distribution Program (THK) in the Cibadak area of Sukamakmur, West Java, on Wednesday (May 27, 2026). This program brought the joy of Eid al-Adha to the students of the Darul Rasul 2 Islamic Boarding School and the surrounding community, who rarely have the opportunity to enjoy qurbani meat.
The slaughter of the qurbani animals took place at the Darul Rasul 2 Islamic Boarding School, with a total of 5 goats/sheep and 3 cows distributed. The qurbani meat was then distributed to approximately 180 students and hundreds of residents living near the boarding school.
The majority of students at this boarding school are from eastern Indonesia. They are known as seekers of knowledge who are pursuing a religious education through the path of da’wah. Many of them are also the first generation of Muslims in their families.

Ahmad Baihaqi, founder of the Darul Rasul 2 Islamic Boarding School, expressed his appreciation for the qurbani program organized by Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia in his area. According to him, it is still rare for people in the region to perform qurbani.
“In this village, very few residents perform the qurbani qurbani. In fact, last year I brought meat from the city to distribute to some local residents. They were deeply moved because they had never received qurbani meat before,” he said.
The occasion of Eid al-Adha 1447 H served as an opportunity for Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia to bring the benefits of qurbani to areas where meat distribution has not yet reached many people. This is despite the fact that the location is not too far from a metropolitan area that actually has a surplus of qurbani animals and meat.
In addition to the qurbani slaughter and distribution activities, Dompet Dhuafa, Tokopedia, and Ruang Temenin also organized a series of community-building and entertainment activities with the students. The presence of Aa Juju—or Rizky Juliantono, an Indonesian food vlogger and culinary content creator—helped liven up the atmosphere and kept the students company throughout the event.

Desi Anggrayeni, Head of Digital Goods at Tokopedia, explained that this qurbani program is part of Tokopedia’s efforts to encourage customers to extend the benefits of the qurbani ritual to various regions across Indonesia. Of course, this isn’t limited to Bogor; in fact, the majority of the qurbani animals are distributed to remote areas.
“Through Dompet Dhuafa, our qurbani distribution partner, the animals purchased by the public through Tokopedia can be distributed to remote corners of the archipelago. So the benefits are certainly not limited to Bogor alone,” explained Desi.

Meanwhile, Adi Kurniawan, Digital Fundraising Manager at Dompet Dhuafa, expressed his gratitude to all qurbani donors, especially those who entrusted their qurbani offerings to Tokopedia. According to him, Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia remain committed to expanding the reach of charitable benefits to the community through the “Tebar Hewan Kurban” program.
“We would like to thank the Darul Rasul 2 Islamic Boarding School and the surrounding community for their warm reception of this program. May the distributed qurbani offerings benefit the recipients and inspire even more people to contribute to the THK program,” said Adi.
He also expressed his appreciation to Ruang Temenin for initiating this charitable collaboration. The volunteers from Ruang Temenin were so enthusiastic and active in encouraging the students to have fun and play, bringing warm smiles to their faces.
Through this collaboration, Dompet Dhuafa, Tokopedia, and Ruang Temenin continue to foster cooperation and enthusiasm in the equitable distribution of qurbani, bringing the joy of Eid al-Adha to those in need—including those who have never experienced a “meat feast” like those in many other regions.
