YOGYAKARTA – Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta together with Dompet Dhuafa TV (DDTV), the Hotel General Manager Association (IHGMA) of the Yogyakarta Regional Representative Council, and Panji Sakti, collaborated in the “Box of Happiness” activity on Friday (14/02/2025). The action was an initiative in an effort to bring happiness to children with cancer at the Jogja Kasih Anak Kanker Foundation.
The activity began with a fun game of painting, coloring, and origami making with children who are cancer survivors, guided by volunteers. “Mendadak Konser” (Suddenly a Concert) was also included in the series of events featuring Panji Sakti at the Jogja Children’s Cancer Charity Foundation. This segment was held in the hope of encouraging the children who are struggling.

In this main activity of “Box of Happiness” with the Hotel General Manager Association (IHGMA) and Panji Sakti, children with cancer received fun gifts. There is something unique about this activity, namely that the children receive a Box of Happiness that is different according to their personal wishes. The activity then ended with a meal together, where children with cancer and the “Box of Happiness” team enjoyed a meal together.
“The most effective way to soften the heart is to meet people who are sick. From this, I bring my songs very emotionally, and this is a very extraordinary experience for me. Hopefully, this activity can benefit many people,” admitted Panji Sakti.
The YKAK shelter became one of the locations for the Sudden Concert that Panji Sakti usually performs, where Panji sings children’s songs and songs with good and touching messages for children and parents of cancer patients. The participants seemed to enjoy a warm and touching moment, ending with shared happiness.
“We are very happy to be able to participate in this activity. IHGMA is an association of general managers of hotels throughout Indonesia, and one of the areas we work in is CSR and there are several other areas within IHGMA. We organize this CSR in the form of sharing love, in the hope of expressing our gratitude and sharing our happiness with the children at the Indonesian Children with Cancer Foundation,” said Ridwan Munajad, Chairman of IHGMA.

The “Box of Happiness” activity is a concrete example of cooperation between social institutions, social organizations, and musicians to bring happiness to those in need.
“Hopefully the collaboration with the Hotel General Manager Association (IHGMA) and Panji Sakti can bring happiness and strength, so that the children here can be more optimistic in the fight against cancer. And for all those who have collaborated, hopefully we can continue, especially in the Yogyakarta area in the future,” said Muhammad Zahron as Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta.
“It takes full support and great enthusiasm for parents to accompany their children in getting treatment. The motivation and enthusiasm that you give to your children is an important asset for your children to recover quickly,” said Aris Retnowati, Chair of Charity IHGMA.
The “Box of Happiness” activity has brought happiness and hope to children with cancer and their families. We hope to continue similar activities in the future to bring happiness to more people. (Dompet Dhuafa)
