BOGOR — Closing the School Class Meeting activities, SDIT Al Yasmin 2 Bogor held a sharing event for Sumatra. In collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa, on Wednesday (12/17/2025), SDIT Al Yasmin 2 Bogor handed over humanitarian donations for Sumatra to Dompet Dhuafa.
The event began with a joint prayer and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, creating a solemn atmosphere that was both calming and encouraged all students to set their intentions so that the series of activities would be filled with blessings.
Furthermore, the Class Meeting also featured an educational story told by Kak Dini. With her enthusiastic delivery, imitation of animal sounds, and stories about the conditions in Sumatra and the damage to nature caused by human actions, the students listened enthusiastically. Laughter broke out, creating a cheerful atmosphere while still conveying a message of caring for the environment.

Shortly thereafter, the atmosphere turned emotional when a story was told about a child’s devotion to his parents. The students and even the teachers were unable to hold back their tears. The series of activities then continued with the symbolic handover of donations from the school to Dompet Dhuafa as a form of concern for the survivors of the disaster in Sumatra. The event closed with the announcement of the Class Meeting championship in each competition category at SDIT Al Yasmin 2 Bogor.
One of the teachers at SDIT Al Yasmin 2 Bogor, Fikri, said that this activity was fully supported by the entire school family, who participated in raising funds and taking concrete action.
“Alhamdulillah, the participation and concern of the entire school ecosystem was excellent. They actively supported the fundraising activity for disaster victims in Sumatra. The children also looked very enthusiastic listening to the stories told by Kak Dini,” he said.

“Thank you to Dompet Dhuafa for being a program distribution partner. It may not be much from us, but hopefully it can be beneficial for our brothers and sisters in Sumatra,” said Fikri.
With this collaboration, the spirit of helping the recovery process of communities affected by disasters in Sumatra is getting stronger. Dompet Dhuafa hopes that the collaboration with SDIT Al Yasmin 2 Bogor can inspire other schools to foster values of humanity and care in the educational environment.
