JAKARTA — Giving alms or sharing with others is indeed a good deed that will have a big impact on the recipient. Especially if this good deed is done during the holy month of Ramadan, it will certainly be a special deed that will bring more rewards. During Ramadan 1443, Cussons Baby Indonesia, in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa, invited customers to join in sharing kindness with others through the #DariKamiUntukKebahagiaanMereka campaign.
This program set aside donations from customers for every purchase of Cussons products at several online official stores during a certain period in Ramadan. The donations were successfully collected, and on Thursday (7/21/2022), Cussons Baby Indonesia visited the Dompet Dhuafa office at the Philanthropy Building, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, to hand over the donations to Dompet Dhuafa.
“We want Cussons’ concern to also be present for children or parents who are less fortunate. We involve our customers to care for those who are less fortunate. Hopefully, this will become a good deed that will continue with other programs that are even better, of course,” said Lidya Palupi, Digital Merchandise Manager of Cussons Baby Indonesia.

Cussons Baby Indonesia Brand Manager Nisa Aqila also added that Cussons will entrust the distribution to the beneficiaries entirely to Dompet Dhuafa. According to her, Dompet Dhuafa knows better who needs help and care. She hopes that Cussons can also be involved in the growth and development of the nation’s children by caring for those who are less fortunate.
“We hope that these products will also be beneficial and useful for children and babies. Because Cussons products are very good for health and hygiene, so that children’s growth will continue to be good,” added Nisa.
The donations given are Cussons products themselves, including 33 Cussons Baby Gift Boxes, 45 Cussons Tote Bags, 33 bath mats/towels, 50 Carterlove Best Quality Blankets, 100 Baby Spoon Sets by Rafferty’s Garden, 50 Chess Bottles BPA Free Lock & Lock 500ml, and several other items. These donations will be distributed to children in Dompet Dhuafa orphanages, as well as to parents and babies who are receiving medical treatment through Dompet Dhuafa’s health program.

General Manager of Resource Mobilization (Remo) at Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Faqih Syarafaddin, welcomed the visit of the Cussons Baby Indonesia team and accepted donations from Cussons customers. He said that encouraging kindness does not always have to be done through sermons by religious teachers in assemblies or explanations of religious principles by scholars. Encouraging kindness can be done by everyone, regardless of where and when.
“This is a form of preaching kindness, namely through Cussons, which invites its customers to participate in acts of kindness together with Dompet Dhuafa. We have the same vision and the same values. We combine our strengths to encourage generosity in the community. Hopefully, it can be even more optimal. The goal is one, so that the community or beneficiaries can truly feel the sweetness of this collaboration,” he said.
To the Cussons team, Faqih emphasized that donations from Cussons customers will be distributed through Dompet Dhuafa’s related programs, such as the Free Health Service (LKC) or clinics and even Dompet Dhuafa hospitals that serve underprivileged communities. Additionally, the donations will also benefit orphaned children/infants and other underprivileged individuals in need. (Dompet Dhuafa / Muthohar)
