Collaborating with Dompet Dhuafa, Dian Didaktika Islamic School Distributes Aid for Male Mount Lewotobi Survivors

Sekolah Islam Dian Didaktika Depok menyerahkan bantuan bagi penyintas erupsi Gunung Lewotobi Laki-laki di NTT.

JAKARTA – At the end of 2024, Dompet Dhuafa again received a good mandate from the school network, namely the Islamic School Dian Didaktika Depok, to help survivors of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Male which occurred since November 4, 2024. The donation was handed over on Friday (06/12/24) to Dompet Dhuafa in the Living Room of Dian Didaktika Islamic School.

Through the Indonesia Siap Siaga Program, students of Dian Didaktika Islamic School collected donations that were channeled through Dompet Dhuafa for survivors of the Mount Lewotobi Laki eruption in East Nusa Tenggara. The collected infaq was handed over directly by the Director of Social Religion of Dian Didaktika Islamic School, Syahudin to Dompet Dhuafa’s ZIS Retail Fundraising Manager, Yudha Andilla.

DMC Dompet Dhuafa sent aid to survivors of the Mount Lewotobi Laki eruption. A total of 45 packages of tarpaulins, mattresses, and blankets were received by 45 families of survivors with a total of 180 beneficiaries spread across the evacuation posts of Boru Village, Wulanggitang District and Konga Village, Titehena District, on Saturday (12/21/2024).

Syahudin revealed that this assistance was a form of concern for the students of Dian Didaktika Islamic School for the survivors of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki in NTT.

“This donation is a form of our concern for our fellow brothers and sisters in NTT. Alhamdulillah, we often do fundraising as a form of solidarity,” added Syahudin.

DMC Dompet Dhuafa took the initiative to carry out waste management at refugee camps. On Tuesday (10/12/2024) the DMC Dompet Dhuafa Disaster Response Team intensified the cleanup action by transporting the accumulated garbage, precisely at the Independent Refugee Post, Konga Village, and the Field Refugee Post in Kobasoma Village, Titehen District, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Based on the Situation Report from Dompet Dhuafa’s Disaster Management Center (DMC) released on Sunday (24/12/2024), until now the disaster that hit East Flores Regency is still under Disaster Emergency Alert status. Based on the decision of the East Flores Regent, this status was extended until December 31, 2024.

For more than 30 days, the survivors have been staying in evacuation posts because Mount Lewotobi Male is still showing volcanic activity.

Situation Report of Mount Lewotobi Male Eruption was issued by DMC Dompet Dhuafa on Sunday (12/24/2024).

Dompet Dhuafa together with its good partners continue to work together to help meet the needs of the survivors of the Mount Lewotobi Laki Eruption.

Various efforts have been made, among others, providing Public Kitchens, Warm Posts, victim evacuation assistance, health services, clean water distribution, emergency musala, distribution of hygiene kits, baby kits, implementing Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Cheerful Parks, Green Centers, and the Dompet Dhuafa Dai Corps Learning Center (PBM).

Yudha Andilla as a representative of Dompet Dhuafa also gave high appreciation for the concern of Dian Didaktika Islamic School for the disaster survivors. This concern reflects the commitment of all school elements in educating students to become a quality generation.
