BANDAR LAMPUNG, LAMPUNG — Dompet Dhuafa Lampung presents an Inspirational Storytelling (Safari Dongeng Inspiratif) Safari Program entitled “Stop Bullying at School” with the Indonesian Storytelling Master, Kak Bimo, started on Tuesday (18 – 25/10/2022). The safari, which will last for eight days, began at Global Surya Islamic School, Rajabasa, Bandar Lampung, and will continue to other schools, including Kemala Bhayangkari Kindergarten, At-Tamam Islamic Elementary School, and so on.
Safari Dongeng Inspiratif is an educational and creative fairy tale event that aims to invite and educate school students equivalent to kindergarten and elementary school in a way that is interesting and easy for children to accept. This recurring event of Dompet Dhuafa has been taking place since 2015. Yogi Achmad Fajar, Head of Dompet Dhuafa Lampung, conveyed the purpose of holding an Inspirational Fairy Tale Safari, “The program is held so that children can protect themselves from negotiating actions both physically, verbally, emotionally, and sexually,” he explained.
The rise of bullying cases in the school environment has encouraged Dompet Dhuafa Lampung to present an educational but fun event without seeming to belittle school students. Haryanto, as part of the Quality Assurance Team of Sekolah Global Surya, expressed his support and hope for this Inspirational Fairy Tale Safari agenda.
“Hopefully, the presence of the Indonesian Fairy Tale Master can provide its own inspiration for teachers in teaching. It also educates our school students to love each other. Thank you Dompet Dhuafa Lampung Team, for bringing Kak Bimo to our school,” he said. In addition to fun educational fairy tales, at the end of the event, Dompet Dhuafa Lampung invited the students to share directly to foster children’s empathy for others.
