BANTEN —-— One of the durian fruit sellers, PT Berkah Durian Nusantara, has created a charitable initiative with Dompet Dhuafa. The initiative involves providing assistance to orphaned students at SDI Kreatif in Serang City, Banten, on Thursday (April 21, 2022). The assistance during the Holy Month of Ramadan takes the form of school supply kits (School Kits), which are the result of donations from the purchase of each durian product.
Unlike other months, Ramadan is a month full of blessings. Every act of worship during this month will be rewarded with double the blessings from Allah SWT. In addition to observing the obligatory fast, one of the most noble acts of kindness during Ramadan is providing assistance to orphans.
In Islam, orphans hold a very special place. Orphans must be loved, cared for, and looked after. In fact, those who care for orphans are paving the way for themselves to become part of the people of Paradise.

During the month of Ramadan 1443, PT Berkah Durian Nusantara set aside funds from each product sale as social funds. Together with Dompet Dhuafa, the funds collected were then used as School Kit gifts for 12 orphaned students at SDI Kreatif Kota Serang. The students who received these benefits were selected from the youngest students, namely those in grades 1 and 2 at SDI Kreatif Kota Serang, Banten.
The distribution team from Dompet Dhuafa, Siska Permata Sari, said that the students who received the School Kit gifts were very happy and excited. On behalf of the students, she expressed her gratitude to PT Berkah Durian Nusantara as the donor in this act of kindness.
