Continuing the Hope of Remote Area Residents, Donors Share Their Experience of Delivering Aid to Sekalus Hamlet

MADIUN, EAST JAVA —-— After distributing zakat and Al-Qur’an alms, the East Java Dompet Dhuafa team continued the distribution on the second day, Saturday (4/30/2022), in the Kare District, Madiun Regency. Exploring the remote area of Sekalus Hamlet, the East Java Dompet Dhuafa team had the opportunity to distribute the donors’ trust in the Food Gift program to the poor residents of Cermo Village.

This time, donors from the SMPN 1 Madiun Alumni Association were directly involved in the distribution of aid and saw the conditions in Sekalus Hamlet.

“I only recently learned that there is a village in Madiun located deep within the forest like this. It is far from the bustle of city life and even lacks electricity. May the aid we distribute bring blessings to the people here,” shared one of the alumni of SMPN 1 Madiun, recounting his first experience distributing aid to a remote area.

A total of 16 Food Gift packages were distributed to the poor people in need there. The Food Gifts consisted of packages of basic necessities to help the people in the remote areas survive.

“Hopefully, these Food Gifts can bring a little happiness and ease the lives of the underprivileged community in Sekalus Hamlet, and also make us more grateful,” said Benny, Head of the Madiun Unit Program, Dompet Dhuafa East Java. (Dompet Dhuafa / East Java / Dhika Prabowo)
