ACEH — Corps Dai Dompet Dhuafa (Cordofa) held an event to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad at the Misbahul Jannah Mosque, Pulau Siumat Village, East Simeulue District, Simeulue Regency, Aceh, on Wednesday (10/8/2025).
On this auspicious occasion, Cordofa’s Transformative Dai, Ustaz Sayed Ali, also distributed aid to orphaned children in Pulau Siumat Village.
Effendi, the Village Secretary representing Pulau Siumat Village, expressed appreciation for the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW event organized by Cordofa.
“The Maulid celebration has become a tradition here and is a mandatory annual celebration. Maulid enlivens Siumat Island. We are proud of this year’s celebration,” said Effendi.

He also expressed his gratitude to Cordofa for sending dai to his village as part of the Transformative Dai Program.
“The dai have been teaching the children Iqro, the Qur’an, and enlivening the Friday night wirid at the Misbahul Jannah Mosque,” he said.
Effendi hopes that Dai Cordofa will continue to teach children in Pulau Siumat Village to recite the Quran and learn about Islam.
“We really hope that the dai will continue to be present. The dai interacts with the community to (teach) our children,” he continued.

Lukman, a Cordofa staff member, explained that the Transformative Dai in the Simeulue Region is expected to be able to spread Islam to the people there.
“We hope that the dai we have assigned will be able to easily blend in with the community. And hopefully, this dai can be a solution to the religious problems that exist in the Siumat community,” he said. (Dompet Dhuafa)
