SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – On Friday (07/03/2025) which coincided with the 7th day of Ramadan 1446 H, Ustaz Abdul Wahid Ritonga, Dai Ambassador Dompet Dhuafa 2025 for Australia, had the opportunity to deliver the Friday Sermon at IQRA Mosque, Sydney, Australia. One thing that interested the preacher was that the congregation present was not only Indonesian citizens, but also foreign Muslims from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Turkey, and of course Australia.
Ustaz Abdul Wahid then tried to prepare for this task well. In delivering his sermon, Ustaz Abdul Wahid used three languages at once, namely Indonesian, Arabic, and English. Even though the preparation time was very short and filled with the busy Ramadan safari, Ustaz Abdul Wahid still showed a very good performance.
The message about the urgency of piety became sermon material that touched the hearts of the congregation, because piety is the main purpose of fasting.
“Whoever fears Allah, Allah will make easy all matters that are considered difficult, open what has been closed, teach something difficult, provide a way out when all roads have ended.”

After the sermon, Ustaz Abdul Wahid then continued the friendship with the mosque caretaker who also happened to be Indonesian.
“We are very grateful to Dompet Dhuafa and especially Ustaz Wahid for being willing to preach at this mosque,” said the mosque caretaker’s representative to the Dai Ambassador of Dompet Dhuafa.
In addition, the IQRA mosque management also hopes that the brotherhood between Dompet Dhuafa and the IQRA Mosque can always be maintained and can always work together to light the lamp in the Land of Kangaroos, so that the Light From the East will soon be realized. Not to forget, Ustaz Abdul Wahid also conveyed warm greetings from the Cordofa Team and Dompet Dhuafa to the IQRA Mosque family.
The conversation then continued smoothly with various topics of discussion as well as nostalgia for the hometown which was full of unique moments that were difficult to forget. (Dompet Dhuafa)
