However, for Ustaz Ihya Ulumudin, the Dai Ambassador of Dompet Dhuafa in Incheon, South Korea, this year’s Eid was different. He decided to combine tradition with adventure, exploring the streets of Incheon on a scooter, gaining an unforgettable and unique experience.

A Blend of Tradition and Adventure

For Ustaz Ihya, Eid al-Fitr is a time to celebrate victory after a month of fasting. However, in a predominantly non-Muslim country with travel limitations, he chose to enrich his Eid experience by exploring Incheon. Boldly accompanied by congregants of Al Anwar Mosque, he rode a scooter through the streets filled with history and beauty.

With distinctive helmets and a blazing spirit of adventure, Ustaz Ihya and the congregation roamed the streets of Incheon City. They traversed stunning bridges, navigated bustling traditional markets, greeted blooming sakura in City Park, and enjoyed the serene beauty of the coastline. Every corner of Incheon City presented new wonders that added excitement to their adventure.

Despite being far from their homeland and families, Ustaz Ihya didn’t feel alone on Eid al-Fitr day. He celebrated unity and brotherhood by visiting the local Muslim community in Incheon City.
