MANILA, PHILIPPINES —-– To celebrate Ramadan 1447 H, Dompet Dhuafa once again sent Dai Ambassadors to various countries. One of them was to carry out da’wah in the Philippines, which on this occasion sent Salman Al Farizi as Dai Ambassador for da’wah assignment in the Philippines. Upon arriving in the country of assignment, Salman Al Farizi paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Manila on Wednesday (February 18, 2026).

On their first afternoon, the Dai Ambassador delegation was received directly by Victorina H. Dewayani, Deputy Head of Mission/Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Indonesian Embassy in Manila. Discussions flowed smoothly during the meeting. The main focus of the discussion was on strengthening da’wah activities and community involvement among the Indonesian diaspora and Muslim communities in the Philippines.
“Alhamdulillah, we have arrived in Manila, Philippines, to carry out the da’wah mission of Dai Ambassador Dompet Dhuafa. Upon arrival, we immediately visited the Indonesian Embassy to convey the aims and objectives of Dai Ambassador Dompet Dhuafa. Everyone welcomed us and gave their full support to this program,” explained Salman to the Dompet Dhuafa team.

Salman also added that in addition to strengthening da’wah and social activities, several members of the Indonesian diaspora made a number of suggestions. Among them was a proposal to hold Islamic study sessions (kajian) outside the embassy environment. This would enable them to reach a wider community.
“The response from the congregation here has been positive and enthusiastic. After the gathering, we immediately held Tarawih prayers in congregation at the Indonesian Embassy mosque. In fact, members of the Indonesian diaspora requested that the study sessions be held outside the Indonesian Embassy environment. This would allow us to reach a wider community or congregation,” added Salman.

This year, Dompet Dhuafa sent 20 selected preachers as Dai Ambassadors to carry out their missionary work in a number of countries. After being selected, the Dai Ambassadors underwent five days of intensive training, covering topics such as education, health, culture, and social humanitarianism. Following this, the Dai Ambassadors were ready to carry out their duties in 11 target countries for da’wah, including Australia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Germany, South Korea, New Caledonia, East Timor, and Thailand.
